    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator manufacturing method for partially protecting a coil end of a stator using a coil where a rectangular conductor is used with resin without using a mold.SOLUTION: In a stator manufacturing method, a coil 13 formed by winding the rectangular conductor D is molded with the resin, a resin mold portion 14 is formed on an outer peripheral face of the coil 13 and the stator 10 is formed by bonding a coil terminal portion of the coil 13 projecting from the resin mold portion 14 with a bus bar 25. For forming the resin mold portion 14 in the coil 13, a cylindrical portion 14d which surrounds a periphery of the coil terminal portions (13a and 13b) and includes a slit portion 14d2 through which the bus bar 25 passes is formed at an end face of the resin mold portion 14, from which the coil end portions (13a and 13b) project. The bus bar 25 is arranged by making it pass through the slit portion 14d2. The coil terminal portions (13a and 13b) of the coil 13 are bonded with the bus bar 25 and a resin coating material 19 is constructed to block an end of the cylindrical portion 14d.
