    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording material which is excellent in inkjet recordability and ink absorbency, which can obtain glossiness and image clarity, comparable to those of photographic paper for silver halide photography, and which is free from ruggedness.
      SOLUTION: In this inkjet recording material, at least three ink absorbing layers, which are composed of a pigment and an adhesive, are sequentially provided on a paper base material. The inkjet recording material is characterized as follows: the pigment of the lowermost layer nearest to the paper base has an oil absorption of 70 mL/100 g or less; the pigment of the intermediate layer has an oil absorption is 150 mL/100 g or more; and the pigment of the uppermost layer farthest from the paper base material is an inorganic ultrafine particle with a mean particle diameter of 500 nm or less; and the uppermost layer is formed by a cast treatment method.

      SOLUTION: In the inkjet recording material provided with an ink receiving layer and a gloss expressing layer on at least one face of a water-absorbing substrate, the gloss developing layer comprises an inorganic ultra-finely divided particle, a water-soluble resin, and boric acid or borate, and one layer comprises a basic metal compound (A), and the other layer comprises the basic metal compound (A) and a complex salt forming compound (B) performing a complex salt forming reaction.
