    • There is provided a semiconductor device including a substrate, a first insulating film formed on the substrate, a first electrically conductive layer formed on the first insulating film, a dielectric layer formed on the first electrically conductive layer, the dielectric layer being formed with a first through-hole, a second electrically conductive layer formed on the dielectric layer, the second electrically conductive layer being formed with a second through-hole in alignment with the first through-hole, a second insulating film covering the first and second electrically conductive layers therewith, and a first wiring layer formed on the second insulating film, a first contact hole being formed through the second insulating film, and the dielectric layer and the second electrically conductive layer both in the first and second through-holes, the first wiring layer making electrical contact with the first electrically conductive layer through the first contact hole. The semiconductor device effectively reduces parasitic resistance of the first electrically conductive layer without an increase in an area of the first electrically conductive layer.

    • A cartridge handling hand of a cartridge system sliding valve apparatus for a molten metal vessel is mountable to a general purpose robot. The hand includes a cartridge pressing cylinder secured to a mounting plate whose one side surface is provided with a device for mounting a carrier arm. A first pair of cylinder support arms for lock pins and a second pair of support arms are attached vertically to the other side surface of the mounting plate. Lock pins are attached to piston rod ends of cylinders which are secured to the cylinder support arms 2. Cartridge clamp arms are slidably fitted into guide pins provided vertically in the outside of the second pair of support arms. The cartridge clamp arms are coupled through a cylinder which opens or closes the arms. A cartridge system sliding valve apparatus includes positioning metal fittings for interfitting with the lock pins of the cartridge handling hand of the invention and positioning pins which fit in the positioning recesses of a cartridge.

Eccentric metal parts are rotatably mounted for rotation on laterally spaced frame vertical walls for rotation about a first axis and rotatably mount an eccentric rubber blanket cylinder shaft for rotation about a second eccentric axis. A plate cylinder setting mechanism includes a first toggle mechanism coupled to the eccentric metal part and a plate cylinder setting mechanism striking bar operatively positioned with respect to the plate cylinder setting cam and coupled to the first toggle mechanism cause the rubber blanket cylinder to be brought into and out of engagement with the plate cylinder. An impression cylinder setting mechanism includes a second toggle mechanism coupled to the eccentric rubber blanket cylinder shaft and an impression cylinder setting mechanism striking bar operatively positioned with respect to the impression cylinder setting cam and responsive thereto is coupled to the second toggle mechanism.

    • A numbering device for an offset printing press including a slide mechanism. The slide mechanism includes a pair of slide plates fixed to frames of the numbering device and two pairs of rollers fixed to frames of the main machine, wherein the slide plates are received between respective pairs of the guide rollers such that the numbering device can be slid towards and away from the main machine. A first gear is mounted on a drive shaft of the main machine, while a second gear is mounted on a numbering impression cylinder of the numbering device. The two gears are engaged when the numbering device is slid towards the main machine and disengaged for the opposite direction of movement of the numbering device. A detent mechanism is provided for fixing the numbering device in either the engaged or disengaged positions of the gears.

    • A packing sheet overlaying device for offset printing in which a packing sheet can readily be attached to and released from a cylinder of an offset printing machine or the like. The packing sheet is held in position at one end by a gripper which is attached to a bracket which is rotatably mounted on a cam lever shaft. A slot is formed in the bracket and a screw passes through the slot to secure the bracket to the cylinder to lock the packing sheet in place. When it is desired to change the packing sheet, the screw is loosened and the bracket rotated through an angle defined by the length of the slot to thereby form a gap between the gripper and the corresponding edge of the cylinder. The other end of the packing sheet is held in position by a tensioning mechanism including a tensioning knob provided to adjust the tension on the packing sheet.
