    • PURPOSE:To suppress generation of inverse V segregation and porosity and to provide a reduction in heat diffusing time and improvement in workability by constituting an ingot making device for a flat steel ingot of a casting mold installed with a heat insulating material on the inside circumferential surface, double molding boards made of a cast iron having a pouring port in the small part at the side end of the bottom and double molding boards made of an internally water-cooled copper plate in the remaining part of the bottom. CONSTITUTION:The pouring port 16 does not exist at the double molding boards 22 made of the internally water-cooled copper plate and therefore the extraction of heat from the bottom is ideal and the steam explosion or the injury of the copper plate arising from the penetration of the molten steel into the spacing between the copper plate and the pouring port 16 made of refractories is prevented. Since the port 16 part is made of cast iron, the extraction of heat from the base near the end is decreased and the progression of solidification near the end is made into one way, by which the generation of the inverse V segregation is relieved. The internally water-cooled copper plate 24 occupies the greater part of the base to accelerate the rate of solidification. The operation after ingot making is made easy by closing the port 16 with a sliding nozzle 28.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent closing of immersion nozzles that arises from low temp. charging of molten metal by forming an electrically closed circuit communicating with each molten metal in the nozzles, in an intermediate vessel and in a casting mold, forming a mutual induction coupling circuit using the closed circuits as its secondary circuit and generating alternating current in the secondary circuit. CONSTITUTION:Immersion nozzles 6, 7 are juxtaposed to a tundish 1, and a magnetic core 9 constituting a transformer part 8 is intersected with the outside circumference of one nozzle 7. A primary winding 10 connecting to an electric power source is wound in the end part of the core 9. An electrically closed loop is created by the molten metal 3 in the tundish 1, the nozzles 6, 7 and a casting mold 4, and the loop functions as a secondary conductor of the transformer 8. When electric current is flowed to the primary winding 10, routes (a), (b), (c), (d) form a secondary winding, through which the induced current flows, thereby constituting a transformer. Since the sectional area of the routes (b), (d) is smallest, the current density in this part is largest, and the nozzles 6, 7 are heated thoroughly by Joule heat, whereby the closing of the nozzles is prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To remove not only phosphorus or biodegradable org. matter and hardly biodegradable org. matter but also nitrogen by forming a soil trench having an upper permeable trench pipe and a bottom water gathering trench pipe built therein in soil and forming an anaerobic region to the bottom part of the soil trench so as to freely adjust the volume thereof. CONSTITUTION:After a water impermeable sheet 1 is laid, upper water permeable trench pipes 2 and a bottom water gathering trench pipe 3 are arranged. Sewage secondary treated water 4 is allowed to flow in the upper water permeable trench pipes 2 to be allowed to penetrate in soil. The treated water 4 is purified by aerobic bacteria in soil to be recovered from the bottom water gathering trench pipe 3. At this time, the part above the water level in the bottom water gathering trench pipe 3 is unsaturated with water but the part therebelow is saturated with water and the saturated region becomes an anaerobic region 6, and nitrogen can be removed by the denitrifying action of anaerobic bacterial. By this method, not only phosphorus or medium and low concn. org. matters but also nitrogen can be removed and, by properly controlling the anaerobic region 6, high order treatment of a high removing rate can easily be carried out.
