    • Embodiments of the present invention provide a routing method between base stations, a serving gateway, and a base station, where the method includes: receiving, by a first serving gateway, a first user data packet of first UE sent by a first base station, and determining, according to the first user data packet, whether the first serving gateway serves both the first UE and second UE, where the second UE is a communication peer end of the first UE; and if the first serving gateway determines that the first serving gateway serves both the first UE and the second UE, triggering, by the first serving gateway, the first base station to acquire first routing information required for direct communication with a second base station, and triggering the second base station to acquire second routing information required for direct communication with the first base station, so that the first base station and the second base station establish a direct connection according to the first routing information and the second routing information. According to the method provided in the embodiments, a route between the two base stations is more optimal, and a transmission delay of a data packet is also reduced.

    • The present invention discloses a data transmission method and apparatus, and relates to the technical field of communication networks. In a data transmission process, different quality of service parameters may be flexibly adopted to transmit data, to flexibly adopt different download modes to download a media file, such that the video quality is improved and the network bandwidth resources are saved, or the media content may be smoothly played in real time to improve the user experience. According to the present invention, when transmitting data by using a first radio bearer, a UE receives radio resource control connection reconfiguration information sent by a base station; the UE obtains a second radio bearer according to the radio resource control connection reconfiguration information; the UE sends radio resource control connection reconfiguration completion information to the base station; the UE transmits a part of the data which has not been transmitted by using the second radio bearer. The solutions provided by the embodiments of the present invention are suitable to be adopted during switch between an adaptive streaming mode and a progressive download mode.

    • Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method and apparatus for compressing a nested protocol packet header, which relate to the field of wireless communication technologies and are used to improve efficiency in compressing a nested protocol packet header in a data packet. The method for compressing a nested protocol packet header provided in the embodiments of the present invention includes: receiving a data packet sent by at least one sending end, where the data packet includes a first compression protocol packet header; taking the received data packet as a whole and nesting a second protocol packet header in it; and processing the data packet nested with the second protocol packet header, where the processing includes: coordinating part of function fields in the first compression protocol packet header and the second protocol packet header to remove a duplicate field, and compressing the second protocol packet header; and sending the processed data packet. The method and apparatus provided in the embodiments of the present invention are applicable to a data transmission process where multilayer nested compression exists.
