摘要： PURPOSE:To observe the fast rising and falling characteristics of a current waveform by mounting the current/voltage converting amplifier of the current beam detector very closely to a Faraday cup. CONSTITUTION:An electron gun power source 10 heats a cathode 4 and applies a voltage between a grid 5 and the cathode 4, and a sample base (anode) 7 to generate an electron beam. Then the Faraday cup 8 detects the current value of the electron beam reaching the sample base 7 and the current-voltage converting amplifier 2 converts the current into a voltage through an input connector mounted very closely to the cup 8, so that a current waveform is displayed on a current monitor 3. Consequently, the electrostatic capacity from the cup 8 to the amplifier 2 becomes small and the fast rising/falling characteristics of the current waveform can be observed. Further, tolerance to a disturbance is obtained by connecting the input connector of the amplifier directly to the output connector of the cup 8.

ZnO, In2O3 and SnO2 are a material with electric conductivity and have a function to reduce the electrification on the surface of phosphors when electrons are radiated with high density to phosphors. When a high-density electron beam is radiated to a fluorescent screen, the intensity deterioration of the fluorescent screen can be improved by several - tens %, the life of a cathode-ray tube can be greatly improved.

CONSTITUTION:In the case the width of a phosphor film strip, the width of a void, the diameter of a light emitting spot, and the diameter of electron beam are defined respectively 11, 12, 13, and 14 in the figure, even if the phosphor plane is resolved at high resolution, the improvement of light emitting spot diameter 13 is not remarkable. Based on the experiment result, to suppress the deterioration ratio of the light emitting spot diameter 13 to 50%, the width of the phosphor film strip 11 is needed to be 1/2 or less than the electron beam diameter 14. Meanwhile, since strain due to optical system is generated, the image should be strained analogously for correction, and to eliminate the optical strain in the periphery part of the image the width 11 of the phosphor film stripe is needed to be 1/5 or less than the electron beam diameter 14. This problem is also solved by making the registration (partitioning) structure of the phosphor film be a strip structure. Since black stripes are formed in a reticular screen of projection plane, the resolution in the perpendicular direction is kept by setting stripes at right angle to the former stripes. To make the perpendicular resolution high, dot shape is preferable.
