    • PURPOSE:To detect something wrong in a vacuum switch without requiring any special inspection instruments, by estimating the valve closing or opening state of a throttle valve by parameters of engine temperature, engine speed and suction vacuum sensors, a brake switch, etc. CONSTITUTION:The closing or opening state of a throttle valve 3 is estimated by parameters of a cooling water temperature sensor 12, an engine speed sensor 11, an absolute pressure sensor 10, a brake switch 34 or the like. For example, an operating state of the brake switch 34 is discriminated, and if this switch 34 is on, it is so discriminated that an engine is in an idling state, in this case, a vacuum switch ought to be off, and if the vacuum switch 7 is turned on, it comes into a timer reset stroke. However, if the vacuum switch 7 is off, it enters a time-up stroke, and when the specified time is counted by a timer, it is so judged that the vacuum switch 7 gets out of order, thereby emitting an alarm command. In this detecting method, it will do only giving a subroutine program to an operational part taking charge of air-fuel ratio control action.

    • PURPOSE:To accurately measure the current of a specific electric wire without receiving the effect of the magnetic field generated in the other electric wire, by arranging a measuring electric wire at a right angle to the other electric wire and further arranging a magnetic core at a right angle with respect to the direction of the measuring electric wire. CONSTITUTION:An electric wire A is constituted of the connecting wire 5 reaching a power-board 14' from a dynamo for a vehicle and the connecting wire 18 to a battery 18 through a terminal 16 while an electric wire B is constituted of the connecting wire 19 extending from the terminal 16 at a right angle and the connecting wire 21 parallel to the electric wire A and reaching electric load. A magnetic core 1a is arranged at a right angle to the wire 19 and a magnetoelectric converting Hall element 1b inserted in the gap part of the core 1a. When the magnetic fields generated by the currents I2, I1 of the electric wires A, B and the magnetic fields gathered to the core 1a are set to H2, H3, H1 and H, since the magnetic field H3 is present in a direction negating the magnetic field H1, H=H1+H2-H3 is formed and, because of H2=H3, H=H1 is formed. As a result, the Hall element 1b receives no effect of the magnetic field generated by the current I2 of the electric wire A and detects the magnetic field generated in the electric wire B to accurately measure the current I1.

    • PURPOSE:To suppress hunting of air-fuel ratio in transient operation so as to improve exhaust gas cleaning performance of the engine in the caption, by computing predicted values of the pressure in an intake pipe and/or the rotating speed of an engine and determining a proportional value or a integrated value according to said predicted values to increase or decrease the control value for air-fuel ratio. CONSTITUTION:During an engine 5 is in operation, a control circuit 20 reads signals from an absolute pressure sensor 10, a crack angle sensor 11, an oxigen concentration sensor 14, and other sensors and computes predicted absolute pressure and predicted rotational speed of said engine 1 and then determines whether the oxigen concentration is leaner than the standard concentration which corresponds to the intended air-fuel ratio or not. It the case is judged that the air-fuel ratio is changed from being rich to lean, a proportional value is determined computing from the predicted absolute pressure, the predicted speed, and a standard proportional value. While, if it is judged that the air-fuel ratio will stay lean continuingly, an integrated value is computed in the same way as the above. A air-fuel ratio correction factor is then corrected corresponding to the result of the computation, and the air-fuel ratio is controlled by controlling a linear type solenoid valve 9 according to the corrected correction factor.

Further, the control circuit 30 controls air-bleed for a second slow jet 17 by means of a solenoid shut-off valve 18 in accordance with the deviation between an actual rotational speed and a desired rotational speed when the vacuum switch 21 is turned on, and idle operation is determined in accordance with conditions such as that the rotational speed is below a predetermined value and the like.

    • PURPOSE:To measure the atmospheric pressure by the simple constitution of measuring the atmospheric pressure on the basis of the intake pressure in the highly loaded state of an engine and renewing the measured atmospheric pressure according to the lapse of the operation time in which the operation parameter varies over a prescribed value in the deceleration of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:During the operation of a vehicle, it is judged that a differential pressure switch 50 is turned ON, namely if a throttle valve 30 is in perfect opened state or not. If the judgement is 'YES', it is judged if the detection value of an intake pressure sensor 40 is less than a prescribed value or not, and when the value becomes equal to the detection value in the case when the throttle valve 30 is in perfectly opened state, the max. atmospheric pressure is set to a prescribed value (lower limit value of the atmospheric pressure as measurement object). Then, the correction value of the intake pressure is searched according to the engine revolution speed, and the atmospheric pressure value is estimated by adding the correction value with the detected intake pressure value. When the deceleration state of the vehicle is detected, the operation time in which the detection value of the engine operation parameter exceeds a prescribed value is measured, and the atmospheric pressure at this time is renewed according to the operation time.
