CONSTITUTION: An optical vehicle sensor 33 is installed in each traffic lane of a road; and when a vehicle enters a communication area 32, two-way communication with the communication equipment on the vehicle is performed. The optical transmission/reception part of the optical vehicle sensor 33 is installed within the wiping range 12 of the wiper in the compartment indicated by oblique lines. The optical transmission/reception part receives near infrared rays emitted from the lnfra-side optical vehicle sensor 33 to obtain external information and emits near infrared rays to the infra-side optical vehicle sensor 33 to transmit vehicle information. Thus, the vehicle can quickly arrive at the communication area placed ahead, and the loss of light due to dirt of water drops, mist, a cloud of sand, mud, snow, etc., on the outside of the front window is prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To switch a reception step even when no automatic channel selection is performed and to attain inexpensiveness by providing a means to detect the input of constant time of a specific switch and to switch the reception step of an AM band at that time. CONSTITUTION:It is assumed that the lapse of 30 seconds of switch ON time is decided by a switch ON time decision means 21, and also, a step of 9kHz is selected. Then, a first digital signal generating means 24 is operated, and a digital signal with first step width decided in advance is outputted sequentially. The digital signal is sent to a PLL circuit 26. As a result, a DC voltage (b) i.e. the DC voltage (b) having a step of 0.11V is outputted from an LPF 12, and is inputted to a local oscillator 8. Consequently, a local oscillation frequency (c) with a step of, for example, 990kHz, 999kHz, or 1008kHz, etc., and 9kHz is outputted from the local oscillator 8. Therefore, an AM radio can receive a wave with the step of 9kHz. Similarly, it can be performed with a step of 10kHz.

Thus, the user has only to select a characteristic closest to the characteristic correcting the present sound field characteristic from the 1st frequency characteristic group and to select the frequency characteristic in matching with kind of sound source thereby simplifying the operation.
