摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce the manufacturing cost of a camera, by using an A/D converter in common when removing a fixed pattern noise and a vertical smear. CONSTITUTION:A luminance signal 61 is switched by a variable gain control circuit 50 to a gain matching with a fixed pattern or vertical smear. Then, it is applied to a clamping circuit 51 and fixed at a suitable clamping potential. The output of the clamping circuit 51 is applied to and converted by an A/D converter 52 into a digital signal. The output of the A/D converter 52 is switched by a selector 53 and supplied to a circuit for extracting and storing the fixed pattern and a circuit for storing the vertical smear. The former circuit has an averaging circuit 54, line memory 55, and D/A converter 56 and the latter circuit has a line memory 57 and a D/A converter 58.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve horizontal resolving power by interpolating an image pickup element for G by image pickup elements for R and B. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of solid-state image pickup elements 51-53, which are arranged in two-element shape and in which the optical positional relationship of odd lines and even lines in the horizontal direction is displaced relatively at every half picture element, are used. The pickup elements 51 for G are arranged to the pickup elements 52, 53 for R and B while their positional relationship is displaced only by a quarter of the pitch of picture elements in the horizontal direction. Picture signals 62, 63 outputted from the pickup elements 52, 53 for R and B are extracted while their time positions are displaced only by every quarter picture element more than picture signals 61 oututted from the pickup elements 51 for G. Signals from each pickup element are read at the same time in two lines. Accordingly, the optical positions and time ones of the R, G, B signals are conformed, these positions are composed at predetermined ratios, and luminance signals in which horizontal resolving power is improved are obtained.

This picture is scanned and read in order, and as a serial electric signal, a signal of one frame portion is extracted by synchronizing with the shutter, by an one frame sampling circuit 9, and it is recorded in a magnetic disk 4.

Further, the signal is read out from the said line memory 41 every horizontal scanning and it is substracted from the video signal at a subtraction circuit 42, allowing to achieve a signal rejected with the vertical smear component.
