    • PURPOSE:To expand an area recordable a signal on an optical tape by forming a guide track on a medium in advance, and forming the track by using a master disk manufactured by an interference fringe generated by the interference of light. CONSTITUTION:When a beam 4 is separated into two beams by a half prism 5 and they are formed in flat beams by using beam expanders 10a and 10b and are superposed on a cylindrical lens 8, the interference fringe 9 is stopped on the master disk 2. When the master disk 2 is rotated for one revolution as changing the position of the fringe 9 by a phase shifter 6 at constant speed, the locus of the fringe 9 on the master disk 2 forms a pattern having a projecting groove 7 which forms an oblique concentric circular cylinder with a constant angle. Since plural grooves 7 are formed simultaneously by the fringe 9 arranged at constant intervals, pitch accuracy can be heightened. By transferring the groove 7 on the optical tape 1, plural guide grooves 11 can be formed. Stable tracking can be obtained at the time of performing the recording, the reproduction, and the erasure of a signal by using the groove 11 for the guide track of the tape 1, and the recording with high density can be realized due to high pitch accuracy.

    • PURPOSE:To control the focal position of a diaphragm lens on an optical recording medium in a simple mechanism, and to always stably record/reproduce or erase a signal while enduring the high-speed rotation of a cylinder by adding the chromatic aberration of a spot to a collimator lens to collimate light emitted from a semiconductor laser. CONSTITUTION:When the chromatic aberration is added to a collimator lens 2 to make the light emitted from a semiconductor laser 1 into a parallel light flux is unnecessary to be positioned in the external peripheral part of a VTR cylinder 9 like a diaphragm lens 7 to form an optical spot, and it can be positioned in the inner peripheral part of the cylinder 9. Consequently, large acceleration according to the high-speed rotation of the cylinder 9 is eliminated, the wavelength of the semiconductor laser 1 is changed by the effect of the chromatic aberration of the lens, and an optical recording medium 8 is always positioned on the focal surface of the diaphragm lens 7. Thus, the diaphragm lens 7 can consists of single lenses of aspheric surfaces, etc., and the effect of the large acceleration accompanying the high-speed rotation is made smaller, and the stable recording/reproduction or erasing is attained at any time.

In this state, at the time of recording the information, the timing mark signal 6 is reproduced by a magnetic head 7 for reading provided in the vicinity of the cylinder 2, the traveling speed of the tape 3 is controlled so as to become a prescribed time interval, the head 1 is positioned at a target position in accordance with the guidance track 11, and recording is executed.

    • PURPOSE:To realize the speed control with accuracy by detecting continuously the phase difference between a reference speed command pulse and the up-pulse outputted from a laser length measuring device via a phase comparator and feeding said phase difference back to a drive motor via a motor control circuit. CONSTITUTION:A speed servo circuit consists of a laser length measuring device and a pulse converter 4 and the revolutions of a motor 1 are turned into the linear motions by a mechanism part 2. These linear motions are measured by a laser length measuring device 3 and changed into the up/down signals by the converter 4. These up/down signals are inputted to a selector 5 and the up or down signal is selected according to the positive or negative direction feed of a direction signal 6. The selected up or down signal is inputted to a phase comparator 7 and the phase difference is detected by the comparator 7 between said selected signal and the reference speed command pulse received from a speed command reference pulse 8. Then the output of a phase/voltage converter 9 is fed back to the motor 1 for speed control of the motor 1.
