    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the oversupply of lubricating oil to lubricated parts to reduce a dragging loss.
      SOLUTION: This lubricating device for a shift mechanism comprises a first rotating member 1 having a discharge port Aa of lubricating oil; a second rotating member 25 located on the outer peripheral side of the first rotating member 1; and shafts 25C, 25D supported by the second rotating member 25 and having shaft internal oil passages B, C for supplying lubricating oil to parts different in the required lubricating amount, respectively. A surface, abutting on the second rotating member 25, of a radial flange part 33a fixedly supported to one side of the second rotating member 25 is formed with grooves to form a collecting passage D for collecting the lubricating oil discharged from the discharge port of the first rotating member 1, and a supply oil passage comprising lead-in passages E, F connecting the collecting passage D to the respective shaft internal oil passages. The opening areas of the communicating portions of the respective lead-in passages E, F with the collecting passage D are set to an area ratio corresponding to the ratio of the required lubricating amounts. Excessive lubrication of the lubricated parts is thereby prevented to reduce the dragging loss of a shift mechanism.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assure a torque capacity of two clutches which input deceleration rotation by increasing the diameter of the clutches and avoid increase in size and weight due to increase in axial length, in a vehicular automatic transmission with a gear train attaining multiple speeds.
      SOLUTION: An automatic transmission comprises a decelerating planetary gear G1, the two clutches (C-1, C-3) for transmitting the decelerated rotation and a planetary gear set G having two elements S2 and S3 to which the decelerated revolution passing through them is inputted. A decelerating planetary gear and two clutches are installed on one side of the planetary gear set with placing the clutch (C-3) nearer to the planetary gear set side as compared with the clutch (C-1). An input side member of the clutch (C-1) is connected with the output element C1 of the decelerating planetary gear and the input side member of the clutch (C-3), and the output side member of the clutch (C-1) is connected with one of the two elements of the planetary gear set through the inner circumference of the clutch (C-3). Thus, members which pass through the outer peripheral sides of both clutches are omitted, and the diameter of both clutches are increased.

      SOLUTION: A driving member to which output rotation of the engine is transmitted when a vehicle starts is connected with a carrier of the planetary gear for increasing speed through the start clutch. When the start clutch is engaged, speed of rotation of the driving member is increased by the planetary gear for increasing speed and its rotation is transmitted to the input shaft connected directly with a ring gear. Gear for rotation transmitted to the input shaft is shifted to a plurality of gear stages to transmit rotation of an output shaft by connecting or fixing each element of the single planetary gear and the double planetary gear connected with the output shaft by a plurality of friction engaging elements selectively.

The lubrication oil is fed to the closed space through a feed passage 20 from the oil passage 3 formed at the rear end and circulated by being drained from a drain passage 21. The barometric pressure variation of the closed space is restrained by an air vent passage 22.

      SOLUTION: The one-way clutch is supported in the manner that either one race of an outer race 1 and an inner race 2 is fit to a stationary member 8, and the other race is fit to a rotary member 9. Play in the fitting part of the one race to the stationary member is made smaller than that in the fitting part of the other race to the rotary member. An axial load providing means 7 is placed between the other race and the rotary member in order to control their relative rotation. Thus, while whirling of the rotary member to the other race is allowed, relative rotation caused by drag is inhibited, and impulsive sound caused in a fitting part by relative rotation in locking the one-way clutch is controlled.
