    • PURPOSE: To improve the recovery rate of halogenated hydrocarbon solvents from waste liquid by performing vacuum distillation with an ejector with said solvents as working fluid then switching this to vacuum distillation with an ejector using water as working fluid.
      CONSTITUTION: Waste liquid of halogenated hydrocarbon solvents contg. fats or oils is put through a lead-in port 2 into an oven 1, where it is heated with a heater 5; at the same time, with the same solvents in a receiving tank 3 as working fluid, a pump 4 is operated to feed the solvents forcibly in an arrow 6 direction and to pass the same through an ejector 7, thereby evacuating the inside of the ejector and sucking the solvents evaporated in the oven 1. The solvents are fed into the tank 3, where they are cooled with a cooler 17a. Upon completion of this recovery operation, a pump 11 is operated to suck the solvents remaining in the vessel 1 with a water ejector 12, so that they are dropped together with water into a water tank 10. Since the inside of the tank 10 is partitioned with a metallic screen 9 and the moving speed of the water is made low, the water and the solvents separate and the solvents are removed through a take-out port 16.

    • PURPOSE: To enhance the recovery efficiency of a solvent for washing parts, by a method wherein the solvent adsorbing amount of activated carbon is restricted in a difinite range of a saturation amount or less while excessive air is mixed in desorbed gas.
      CONSTITUTION: When adsorption and desorption is repeated while adjusting the solvent max. content of activated carbon to 20W30%, the solvent content of desorbed air comes to max. 2W4mg/l. This test is performed by a method wherein exhuast gas sent into an activated carbon adsorbing tank 4 from a washing tank 2 by a vacuum pump 3 is adsorbed and, thereafter, air is mixed into an exhaust gas pipe D from a blower 6 to be discharged while diluting the solvent content to a restricted value or less. In this method, the solvent slightly remaining in the washing tank 2 is exhausted at every washing. Because the washing tank 2 is a hermetically closed system, the loss of the solvent is not almost generated if washing is stopped. The activated carbon adsorbing tank of this mthod intermittently repeats adsorption and desorption by using one tank with a volume of about 100l relative to the washing tank (about 1m
      3 ) of 500W 600kg/one time and, therefore, equipment cost is low and maintenance is easy.
