    • PURPOSE: A folding apparatus for a car air bag cushion and a folding method are provided to simplify a manufacturing process by integrating the receipt and folding process of an airbag cushion, wherein a pusher pushes the airbag cushion completed in folding to be stored in a mounting plate. CONSTITUTION: A folding apparatus for a car air bag cushion includes a first board(20), a securing jig(30), a second board(40), a first pressure jig(50), and a second pressure jig(60). The first board is arranged in a way that an air bag cushion(10) is folded. The securing jig fixes the central part of an air bag cushion placed on the first board. The second board covers the fixed air bag cushion. The first pressure jig is inserted in between the first board and the second board. The first pressure jig pressurizes the circumference of the air bag cushion toward inside to divide the air bag cushion into the peripheral direction. The second pressure jig is inserted in between the first board and the second board. The second pressure jig pressurized each circumference of the bag cushion divided by the first pressure jig toward inside and compresses the air bag cushion.
