    • A coin tube cassette is detachably mounted in a coin dispensing apparatus and has a plurality of coin tubes for storing coins in the direction of thickness thereof and coin shoots in units of denominations of coins stored in the radial direction thereof. The coins are automatically replenished by coin selector gates in the coin tubes or the coin shoots until they become full. A selected coin is discharged from the coin tube or the coin shoot in response to a code set by a code setter in accordance with the type of the tube cassette and the denominations of coins stored in the coin tubes. Coin dispensing is performed by a rotary disk having grooves for receiving coins and a coin selection plates having slits. The coin tube or the coin shoot is selected by a single solenoid.

    • A process for producing a foamed synthetic resin body comprising continuously extruding a foamable thermoplastic resin extrudate composition from an extruder die into a reduced pressure zone, subjecting the extrudate to an expansion molding step, a cooling-hardening step and a cutting step while transporting the extrudate through the reduced pressure zone to obtain a foamed piece of predetermined length, shutting off a portion of the reduced pressure zone surrounding the foamed piece from the other portion thereof when the foamed piece has reached a specified position to restore the foamed piece surrounding portion to a normal pressure, subsequently discharging the foamed piece into the atmosphere, and thereafter bringing the surrounding portion into communication with the reduced pressure zone again upon reducing the pressure. Foamed resin bodies of desired expansion ratio and shape can be prepared continuously with high cooling efficiency. An apparatus for practicing the process is also disclosed. Such apparatus includes means to form a continuous length of extrudate within a vacuum chamber and means to cut the extrudate to length and means to pass the cut extrudate into a second chamber, and then to cause the cut length to exit the second chamber without affecting the reduced pressure in the chamber or reduced pressure zone.

    • A ring oscillator in a receiver in a multimedia network is adjusted to compensate for factors that may decrease its accuracy over time using a link training signal from a transmitter device in the network. An incoming signal having a known frequency is received at a receiver or sink device from a transmitter, the signal may be a link training signal used for configuring a link between the two devices. In the receiver, an internally generated clock signal is created, the signal having an internal frequency. The incoming signal and the internally generated clock signal are input into a frequency detector which outputs frequency comparison-based data. The internal frequency is based on the comparison-based data such that it is adjusted to be closer to the known frequency of the incoming signal.

    • Methods and systems for transmitting video pixel data from a transmitter component, such as a controller, to a receiver within a monitor are described. Video data is received at a transmitter at an incoming pixel rate based on a pixel clock. The data is transmitted to the receiver at a link symbol clock rate and is drained from the receiver at the pixel clock rate, which is regenerated by the receiver using the link symbol clock frequency, an M video value, and an N video value. The M video value (Mvid) is determined by the transmitter based on the incoming pixel rate and the N video value (Nvid) may be constant. An accumulator is used within the transmitter to ensure that the transmitter and receiver create a balanced system.
