    • An actuating assembly for an automotive door latch device comprises a housing that operatively installs therein basic elements that are commonly used in an override function unit and a child proof function unit. The override function unit has a function wherein a manipulation of an inside door handle induces cancellation of the engaged condition of the latch means irrespective of the condition of the locking/unlocking means. The child proof function unit has a function wherein the manipulation of the inside door handle is made inoperative irrespective of the condition of the locking/unlocking means, thereby to make the cancellation of the engaged condition of the latch means impossible. The actuating assembly further comprises a cover that is coupled to the housing and holds thereon a selected element that is exclusively used in either one of the override function unit and the child proof function unit.

    • A weather strip includes an attachment base (10) and a hollow seal portion (30). The hollow seal portion (30) is integrally moulded with the outer wall (11) of the attachment base (10), and it makes a resilient contact with the door (42) when the door (42) of a vehicle is closed. The hollow seal portion (30) has a first wall (31), second wall (32), third wall (33), fourth wall (34) and bridge (35). The bridge (35) is spanned between the second wall (32) and the fourth wall (34). The hollow seal portion (30) includes bending points which bend when the door (42) is closed.     • A motor apparatus, such as a DC brushless motor, is provided for the obtaining a position detection signal by detecting the intersection of the divided voltage of a bus voltage and three phases of the divided voltage of the three phases by a comparator which results in the central position of a flat portion. For the divided voltage for the three phases of the respective positive terminal of the comparator, the comparison voltage obtained by dividing the voltage between the divided voltage for the three phases of the following phase in the order and the divided voltage of the bus voltage is applied to the respective negative terminal. As the comparison voltage is phase shifted, the position can be detected by making a slant position ahead of the flat point of the intersection. When the comparison voltage obtained by dividing the voltage between the divided voltage for the three phases of the preceding phase in the order and the divided voltage of the bus voltage is applied to the respective negative terminal, as the phase is shifted in the opposite direction, the position can be detected by making a slant position near the flat point of the intersection. Thereby, the motor apparatus having an intersection whose position is to be detected, can be detected precisely even when the intersection is a flat crossing and is unclear.
