    • PURPOSE:To automatically generate a tool path having the necessary accuracy by repeating such a calculation together with the shift of the position of a control surface that obtains an intersecting line between the offset surface of the locus of a tool center point against a conceptional product working surface and a tool restricting surface as the control surface set when a tool is moved along a certain path. CONSTITUTION:An intersecting point is calculated between a conceptional three- dimensional space curved surface where the path of the tool center is set opposite to a working surface at working i.e., a curve set on a conceptional offset surface F, for example, and a tool restricting surface, i.e, a control surface where the tool position is moved. Then the curve is shifted so that an intersecting line is obtained. This procedure is repeated while the position of the control surface is slightly shifted. Thus a tool path is obtained. In addition, the locus of a tool center point S obtained from said calculation is confirmed on a plane and the tool path is corrected. Thus the interference is avoided between the working curved surface and the tool. As a result, the locus of the position of the point S is obtained with the necessary accuracy through a geometrical convergence calculation. Then the interference is avoided to the working curved surface.
