    • To improve the characteristics of fuel to be used in an engine of an automotive vehicle or a boat or ship, to reduce an amount of harmful substances in emission and to enhance a fuel consumption rate, a device for improving the characteristics of fuel is provided and connected between the engine of the automotive vehicle or the boat or ship and a fuel tank. A fuel pipe spirally wound is arranged within a hexagonal housing in outer shape. A carbon rod is provided inside of the fuel pipe and a coil is wound around its outer periphery. Powder of metal, mineral and oxide is filled between the fuel pipe and the inner wall of the housing and solidified with silicone resin. The fuel flows through an interior of the fuel pipe in a spiral manner to be fed to the engine.

    • An improved electrolytic-catalytic-electrochemical series potential cell for immersion in the fuel tank of diesel and gasoline engines to effect fuel modification prior to combustion, conducive to improved combustion with attendant increased fuel efficiency and reduced deletereous emissions, using a cylindrical zinc anode carrying a tightly wound helical noble metal (preferably silver-surfaced) winding, the terminal turns of which are rendered resilient to clip over and establish spring contact with the transverse ends of the anode cylinder to insure continuous electrochemical series potential generation irrespective of wear in use and resulting gaps developed between the winding and the cylindrical anode. Preferred metals for optimum cell operation for each of diesel and gasoline fuels are presented.

    • Apparatus including a mixing chamber has a hollow rotor mounted therein carrying a stack of tightly pressed together nebulizer rings made of pliant material characterized by having substantially constant dimensions. A selected gas, such as air, is supplied to the mixing bowl while liquid fuel and optionally water or other liquid additives are metered into the interior of the hollow rotor at a rate controlled as a function of the air flow into the chamber. The fuel and water are each nebulized and uniformly dispersed into the mixing chamber by being propelled by centrifugal force generated by the rotor between the smooth uniform laminae defined by the pressed together nebulizer rings. The rotor is preferably driven to operate as a Van de Graaf generator and the nebulizer rings are preferably made up of dielectric materials to induce substantial electrostatic charges on liquids propelled therebetween.
