    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for determining replacement of an injector whether the injector has been replaced or not without changing property data on a storage means in a control device.SOLUTION: The apparatus for determining replacement of injector includes: a learning means S12 for learning injector property data and sequentially updating the property data stored in an ECU (storage means in a control device) to a learned value during engine operation; an updating means S21 for rewriting and updating the property data stored in an INJ-side EEPROM (storage means in the injector) to the property data stored in the ECU at the end of the engine operation; a collation means S32 for determining whether the property data stored in the ECU matches the property data stored in the INJ-side EEPROM at the start of the engine operation; and a replacement determining means S33 for determining that the injector has been replaced without changing the property data of the ECU-side EEPROM when mismatching is determined.

When the charging period is not within a predetermined normal range, the micro computer 130 judges that malfunction where the capacitor C10 could not store electric charges required to practice the fuel injection more than once has been developed. Further, when the malfunction of the capacitor C10 has been detected, the micro computer 130 sets limits on the implementation of fuel injection other than main fuel injection for operating the internal combustion engine.
