    • PURPOSE:To fix uniformly the lapping parts of a thermoshrinkable sheet without occurrence of separation by a method in which the thermoshrinkable sheet is wound on the connecting parts and the end parts of steel pipes or cables for protecting from corrosion and leakage of water and is sealed by a fixing sheet and then heated simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:A thermoshrinkable sheet 2 is wound on steel pipes 1 such that its adhesive layer 3 is positioned at its inside and both ends thereof are mutually lapped. Next, a fixing sheet 4 in which one surface of said sheet 4 is embossed and another surface thereof has the adhesive lapped layer 5 of hot melt type, coats the lapping part 21 of said thermoshrinkable sheet 2. Then, the fixing sheet 4 is stuck to the vicinity of both ends of the thermoshrinkable sheet 2 by heating the fixing sheet by means of a burner, etc. until the emboss pattern of said sheet 4 has disappeared. Next, the thermocontractive sheet 2 is totally heated by a burner, etc. and is caused to contract.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a sheet from slipping, by a method wherein a thermoplastic sheet for securing having a gunpowder layer in the vicinity of both ends is overlapped on a overlap part of thermoshrinkable sheets or its adjoining part and said gunpowder layer is burnt. CONSTITUTION:A thermoshrinkable sheet 2 is wound around a steel pipe 1 so that an adhesive layer 3 becomes the inside and both end parts are overlapped each other and a thermoplastic resin sheet 4 is overlapped on an overlapped part 21 for temporary welding so that an adhesive layer 6 becomes the inside, a laminated sheet 5 is positioned in the vicinity of one end part of the thermoshrinkable sheet 2, and a laminating sheet 5 is positioned in the vicinity of the other end of the thermoshrinkable sheet 2. Then when gunpowder layers 52, 52' are ignited, the neighborhood of both ends of thermoplastic sheet 4 right under the laminated sheets 5, 5' and the neighborhood of both ends of the thermoshrinkable sheet 2 are welded by combustion heat of the gunpowder. After cooling, the whole of the thermoshrinkable sheet 2 is heated and made to contact by a burner.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the capacity of preventing corrosion of a lining by such an arrangement wherein a tape is wrapped around an item to be protected from corrosion, and then it is heated and adhesive is fused simultaneously with the thermal shrinkage of plastic, while a layer of water resistive adhesive and an external layer of protective plastic are caused to tightly contact with the cover the outer circumference of the item to be protected. CONSTITUTION:A tape 1 is composed of a layer 2 of plastic on which a layer 3 of heat meltable adhesive is provided so that the right edge of the tape can be positively overlapped with and pasted to its left edge, and this tape 1 is wrapped around the outer periphery of a pipe (a). As the wrapped pipe is heated up to 100-130 deg.C, the layer of adhesive 3 is fused and the plastic layer 2 is caused to shrink by the revelation of memorized shape, and the outer layer fastens the pipe. Consequently, molten heat meltable adhesive is caused to flow in and fill up remained voids and it positively adheres to the surface of the pipe (a) and covers its surface, and under this condition, it is cooled naturally, thereby, the corrosion preventive lining of the surface of the pipe (a) is completed. Since the layer of adhesive 3 is perfectly of water resistive nature and it is also fastened by the heat shrinkable shape memorizing plastic layer 2, there is no possibility that water penetrates into the lining.

    • PURPOSE:To stably and economically produce a molding with uniform flocking density for each part by a method in which a flocked resin sheet thermally stretched in the biaxial direction is set on molds and then contracted by heating. CONSTITUTION:A flocking treatment is applied on one side of a comparatively thin thermoplastic synthetic resin sheet (vinyl chloride resin sheet, polypropylene film, etc.), and the sheet is stretched vertically and horizontally while being heated to about 140 deg.C and then cooled quickly. The flocked and stretched sheet 1 thus obtained is placed on a mold 2 of a desired shape and heated at about 140 deg.C for 5-40sec to contract it along the cavity of the mold to obtain a flocked molding 3. The flocked and stretched sheet 1 may be obtained by application of flocking process to a synthetic resin sheet already stretched.

    • A method of labelling an article with a label having a full coat of adhesive, the method comprising:

      providing the article to be labelled;
      providing the label to be applied to the article, said label having a potentially adhesive surface;
      adhering a first portion (40) of the label to the article;
      wrapping the label around the article with the potentially adhesive surface in contact with the article;
      adhering a second portion (42) of the label to the article at a location on the label spaced from the first portion of the label or to a surface of the label facing away from the article;
