    • The disc brake with a brake yoke (2) straddling a brake disc (1) has a tensioner on one side. The rotary drive (14) contains a one-way rotary coupling and a torque-limiting coupling which prevents the adjusting spindles (7 and 8) from rotating during the application and release movements. The dual arrangement of the rotary drives (144 and 14') provide redundancy so that, if one rotary drive (14 or 14') should become ineffective, the clearance adjustment function is maintained and the disc brake cannot fail as the pads subsequently wear.
