    • An improved metal terminal receptacle with stoppers for protecting an elastic tongue. The metal terminal receptacle includes a base plate; an insertion portion at an end of the base plate including the base plate, two side walls extending from the base plate, and an upper wall integrally formed with the side walls; a supporting portion for pinching a mated male terminal with an inner wall of the insertion portion and a U-shaped elastic tongue, where the elastic tongue extends from one of the side walls and is inserted into the insertion portion; a wire connecting portion at the other end of the base plate; and projections formed by embossing inwardly the opposing walls, adjacent the wall having the elastic tongue, of the insertion portion, wherein a straight-line cutout is provided in each of the opposing walls before the succeeding embossing work. The upper end faces of the projections acting as the stoppers for limiting the deflection of the elastic tongue within a predetermined elastic limit thereof.

    • There are provided a terminal connection structure and a method of producing the same, in which a terminal is positively and firmly press-connected to end portions or intermediate portions of electric wires, and the connection portion is rendered waterproof. Conductors of a plurality of electric wires are press-connected together by pressing pieces of a terminal through an organic seal material, and the conductors, as well as sheaths of the wires, are clamped together by the pressing pieces of the terminal, and each of the pressing pieces is pressed deeper at that portion thereof disposed on the conductors than at those portions thereof disposed on and adjacent to the sheaths, so that the organic seal material is filled in the conductors, in between the terminal and the conductors, and in between the terminal and the sheaths.

    • A double-lock connector includes a connector housing having terminal receiving chambers, metal terminals for being inserted respectively into the terminal receiving chambers, and a terminal retainer connectable to a rear end portion of the connector housing in a two-stage manner, that is, in a provisionally-connected condition and a completely-connected condition, wherein even when the terminal retainer in the provisionally-connected condition, the metal terminal can be smoothly inserted into the connector housing. The double-lock connector of the present invention includes a connector housing and a terminal retainer for being inserted into the connector housing. A rearwardly-extending tongue-like terminal guide piece is formed on the horizontal partition wall, separating the upper and lower terminal receiving chambers from each other, and is disposed centrally with the width of each terminal receiving chamber. A front end of the terminal guide piece is extended substantially to an inlet end of the connector housing.
