    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the resistance change of a semiconductor film by forming this semiconductor film on the outer peripheral surface of a bell head body made of a high-resistance material and, further, forming a high-resistance film having resistance on the outer Peripheral surface of the semiconductor film. SOLUTION: The bell head 4 is constituted by forming the semiconductor film 2 over the entire area of the outer peripheral surface of the bell head body 1 made of the high-resistance material and forming the high-resistance film 8 having chemical resistance and solvent resistance over the entire area on the outer peripheral surface of the semiconductor film 2. The high-resistance film having the resistance is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the semiconductor film in such a manner and, therefore, there is no formation of the electric resistance wire between the semiconductor film and a metallic coating material and the electric resistance does not change in spite of contact of the metallic coating material. In addition, the semiconductor film is isolated from chemicals and solvents and is not eroded. There is thus no electric resistance by erosion either.

    • PURPOSE:To measure the glossiness correctly whichever color has the painted surface by photographing dark and bright patterns formed by a projecting means on the painted surface and extracting only a predetermined amount of level signals at the larger side generated from a photographing means. CONSTITUTION:An image of the dark and bright patterns formed on a painted surface by a pattern projecting means M1 is photographed as a level signal indicative of the level of the light by a pickup means M2. Only a predetermined amount of level signals at the larger side among the level signals output from the pickup means M2 is extracted by a peak average value calculating means M3. The average of the extracted values is set as a peak average value. Further, the brightness of a light source M1a possessed by the projecting means M1 is detected by a light amount detecting means M4. In general, when a light having the light amount of 11 is incident upon a plane and a light having the light amount 12 is reflected from the plane, if an angle of incidence is constant, the glossiness is proportional to 12/11. Therefore, the glossiness of the painted surface is detected by a glossiness detecting means M5 in accordance with the ratio between the peak average value and brightness of the light source M1a.

    • PURPOSE:To easily execute a paint film inspection of a product on a manufacturing line by providing a stripe pattern projecting means, an image pickup means, a line fining processing means and an endpoint.intersection arithmetic means. CONSTITUTION:An image of a bright and dark stripe pattern on the surface of an object to be inspected by a stripe pattern projecting means M1 is brought to image pickup as an intensity level signal of light by an image pickup means M2, and a line fining processing means M3 compares this intensity level signal of light with a prescribed reference value. As a result, the bright and dark stripe pattern which has been brought to image pickup becomes a bright and dark stripe pattern of a binary signal, and also, a bright part or a dark part of the bright and dark stripe pattern of the binary signal is brought to line fining to prescribed line width. Thereafter, an endpoint.intersection arithmetic means M4 extracts a trace-cut endpoint and an intersection of the line which has been brought to line fining, the number of endpoints and intersections which have been extracted or its dispersion state is calculated, and from the number of endpoints and intersections or its dispersion state which has been calculated, smoothness of a paint film of the object to be inspected is decided by a smoothness deciding means M5.

    • PURPOSE:To inspect whether or not there is a defect on the surface of a body objectively, quantitatively, and automatically by picking up an image of a light- shade stripe pattern projected on the surface to be inspected by a light-shape pattern projecting means as a intensity level signal of light. CONSTITUTION:The image of the light-shade pattern projected on the surface to be inspected by the light-shade pattern projecting means M2 is picked up as the light intensity level signal by an image pickup means M3. Then a light quantity adjusting means M4 adjusts the quantity of output light of the light source M1 of the light-shade pattern projecting means M2 according to the intensity of said level signal to control the level signal outputted by the image pickup means M3 into a specific range. Then a defect part extracting means M5 extracts the defect part on the inspected surface according to the level signal outputted by the adjusted pickup means M3. Consequently, the intensity of the light intensity level signal outputted by the image pickup means M3 is controlled into the specific range regardless of a difference in the paint color of the inspected surface and the defect part on the inspected surface is extracted and inspected with the level signal within the specific range.

    • PURPOSE:To detect automatically a defect part such an irregularity on a body to be inspected by detecting an irregular signal which becomes irregular in the level of an image of a detected area by a defect part extracting means, and deciding the defect part on the surface to be inspected. CONSTITUTION:A virtual image of a stripe pattern projected on the surface of the body OB to be inspected by a stripe pattern projecting device 1 is picked up by an image pickup tube 2 and outputted as a high-low level signal of light. Then, an image area detecting device 3 makes the video signal from the image pickup tube 2 insensitive in level and compares this signal with a reference level to detect the area of the level signal based upon the image of the light- dark pattern. A defect part extracting device 4 detects the irregular signal of the image of the light-dark pattern based on the video signal from the image pickup tube 2 and the area of the image outputted by an image area detector 3, thereby extracting the defect part of the body OB to be inspected. Then a decision circuit 5 decides the size of the defect part.
