Further, a regulator valve 2 which regulates the discharge pressure of a hydraulic pump 23 at a regulated pressure slightly higher, by a predetermined value, than a reference pressure equal to the hydraulic pressure in the wheel cylinder 12, is disposed in a discharge pipe line 38.

    • PURPOSE:To ease a driver's mind with the provision of an appropriate pedal vibration by configurating a device in such a way that, while an antiskid device is in operation, vibration which takes place at a brake pedal, can be set as required when a vehicle is running on either slippery roads or nonskid roads. CONSTITUTION:While an antiskid device is in operation, a force which counteracts against a spring (67) force, acts on a floating piston 65, because of difference in pressure between a hydraulic circuit 3 to a brake master cylinder and a hydraulic circuit 17 to wheel brake cylinders. In a similar manner, a force which counteracts against a spring (68) force, acts on a floating piston 66, because of difference in pressure between the hydraulic line 3 and the hydraulic pressure line 17. Accordingly, the piston 65 is allowed to reciprocate depending on the balance of force between a force due to difference in pressure within the hydraulic circuits 3 and 17, and the quantity of the spring (67) force. And the piston 66 reciprocates in a similar manner depending on the balance of force between a force due to the above said pressure difference and the quantity of the spring (68) force. Thus, the displacement in sliding of both the pistons 65 and 66 causes the change of volume to take place in the pressure line 3 allowing the specified amount of vibration to take place at a brake pedal 1, and this vibration can be set to be a given value.

      CONSTITUTION: Liquid flow from a pump 20 is throttled by a regulator 22 to generate power pressure necessary for a actuator 23. The regulator 22 is provided with a piston 51 for receiving pressure in a master cylinder 12, a first valve body 49 urged thereby and a second valve body 50 urged by a spring 55. The power pressure is rapidly raised by the first valve body 49 until pressure set by the spring 55 is reached, and then thereafter pressure is raised in response to the master cylinder pressure. In non-braking time the regulator 22 does not generate the power pressure so that fuel consumption and durability are improved, and in braking the rise of the power pressure is rapid so that the operation is not delayed.

    • PURPOSE:To make accuracy control for a moving clearance in a clutch plate ever so easier, by installing the clutch plate interlocking with a one-way clutch operating for only a step-on direction of a brake pedal and a spacer controlling the clearance between the clutch plate and an electromagnet attracting the former. CONSTITUTION:When car speed comes to below the setting speed, an electromagnet 22 is excited and thereby a clutch plate 21 is attracted to a friction plate 29. For this reason, a shaft 12 interlocking with a brake pedal is checked in its reverse rotation together with both a casing 14 and a one-way clutch 13, therefore the brake pedal is locked at its step-on position. In case pedalling force is insufficient, if the pedal is retrodden, the shaft 12 rotates only in a step-on direction so that the brake can be reoperated. On the other hand, when an accelerator pedal is stepped on, the electromagnet 22 is unenergized and attraction in the clutch plate 21 is released by a spring 35. The brake pedal is therefore restored to its original position. Accordingly, a clearance between the clutch plate 21 and the friction plate 29 is properly maintained by a spacer 20 to be given resilient force by a spring 25.
