    • PURPOSE:To obtain the method capable of contriving the simplification of a device and measuring at high precision. CONSTITUTION:With pH of a solution containing a substance to be measured iondissociating in the solution and having steam pressure at a non-dissociation condition regulated, the concentration of the substance to be measured therein is continuously measured by the use of a gas electrode with a diaphragm 1. At the time the pH regulation of the solution is performed by continuously bringing the solution into contact with an acid solution, the solution into contact with an alkali solution or a pH buffer solution through an ion exchange membrane 2. A cylinder pump, an agitator and the like for pH regulation are not needed and the simplification, light weight and low cost of a device can be contrived. The ion exchange membrane 2 and a detection electrode are easy to wash and the maintenance and inspection thereof become easy, so that its time can be reduced. High sensitivity can be easily achieved in the measurement of CO2, NH3 and the like, furthermore the compensation of temperature is unnecessary if a pH regulation vessel 3 is made a thermostatic chamber and measurement precision is improved.

    • PURPOSE:To expand an application range to several times as large and to shorten an electrolysis time by adjusting the temperature in a detection electrode chamber to optimum reaction temperature and shortening the analyzing speed, and measuring >=1 of a current, a voltage, and the quantity of electricity at the time of the electrolysis. CONSTITUTION:The detector consists of a detection electrode 1 and a counter electrode 2 which are provided in the detection electrode chamber 4 adjoining to a diaphragm 3 and a counter electrode chamber 5, an outside frame body 7 which is provided outside a frame body 6 so as to contain the whole detector, and a heating means 8 which is provided between them. A sample which is added into the detection electrode chamber 4 is dispersed in the porous detection electrode 1 impregnated with an electrolyte and an electrolytic analysis is taken. If an oxidation-reduction mediator coexists in the electrolyte, the sample and oxidation-reduction mediator react and then the oxidation-reduction mediator is regenerated by electrode reaction.
