摘要： A system for removing powder from an additively manufactured article has a build plate holder 203, a first actuator 205 to angle/tilt the build plate holder 203 relative to gravity, a second actuator (207, fig 2A) to rotate the build plate holder 203 about a central axis (A, fig 2A), and an ultrasonic transducer 109 to vibrate the build plate holder. The first actuator is a piston actuator hingedly mounted to the build plate holder and the second actuator is a belt drive motor. An air flow system 125 can direct pressurised air to the build plate holder. Powder is recovered and recycled using vacuum. A control system (127, fig 1) has a part correlation module to move the build plate in accordance with an part type.

A control system configured to be operatively connected to a powder removal mechanism comprising a part correlation module is further disclosed.
