    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ballast pumping and drainage device that is eliminated in complicated piping and a sea water pump, simple in structure, and can perform the pumping and drainage work of ballast water in ballast tanks which are paired at left and right sides in a sort time.SOLUTION: In a hull 1 of a double lead-shell construction, a bottom space is defined by a vertical partition 4, lateral partitions 51, 52, 53 and 54, and rear lateral partitions 61, 62 and 63, and also there are defined working chambers 71, 72 and 73, and the ballast tanks 81, 82, 83, 84, 85 and 86. An air supply device 9 is connected to the ballast tanks 81, 82, 83, 84, 85 and 86. In the vicinity of the stern-side lateral partitions 51, 52, 53 and 54, and the rear lateral partitions 61, 62 and 63 in the ballast tanks which are paired at the right and left sides, lower ends of branched pipes are opened slightly above an outer plate of the hull, and the branched pipes are extended into the working chambers 71, 72 and 73 while penetrating the partitions water-tightly. The branched pipes are merged with a main pipe in the working chambers 71, 72 and 73. The main pipe is opened to and communicates with sea chests arranged at the working chambers 71, 72 and 73.

    • A hand insertion door board is attached to the peripheral portion of each hand insertion window formed in an outside portion of a newborn infant container of an incubator. A holding portion is formed on one side portion of the hand insertion door board in the lateral direction. When the press lever is pressed against the biasing force of a compression coil spring, the press lever presses projecting pieces of the latch lever to make the latch lever pivot about the support shaft to the release position.

    • By adjusting the amount of air supplied from compressed-air supply piping, a seawater level in an air cushion chamber is adjusted. Accordingly, even in a case of a ballast-free ship, there is secured a function to adjust a hull equivalent to an adjusting function of a ship having ballast tanks.One end of the compressed-air supply piping is opened to the air cushion chamber divided by horizontal and vertical partition plates. Below the horizontal partition plate, a current plate is disposed with a space through which seawater passes therebetween. In an air chamber provided inside a side wall, the other end of a vent pipe is provided in an opened manner at the same position in the height direction as an upper face of the current plate. One end of the vent pipe is opened at a seawater surface outside of the side wall.

    • In a battery cooling structure, a battery case housing a large number of battery modules is formed into the shape of a rectangular tube having a cooling air inlet and a cooling air outlet, and V-shaped cooling air guide channels having a decreasing flow-path cross sectional area are provided on inner faces of air guide plates that define upper and lower faces of the rectangular tube. The flow of cooling air is deflected by these V-shaped cooling air guide channels toward a central part on the downstream side, thus effectively cooling the battery modules disposed in the central part, for which the cooling effect is poor to make uniform the temperature of the battery modules, resulting in a suppressed variation in capacity and lifetime. Moreover, since it is not necessary to provide a bypass passage in the battery case, it is possible to simplify the structure of the battery case, reduce the dimensions, and improve the degree of freedom in the layout.

    • An incubator comprises an incubating chamber for accommodating an infant, and air supply means for supplying conditioned air into the incubating chamber. The air supply means comprises a dry passage and a wet passage which are partitioned from each other by a partition wall. The dry passage and the wet passage communicate by means of a first opening and a second opening, respectively, with the incubating chamber. The wet passage communicates by means of a connecting passage having an opening formed in a wall of the dry passage extending along the direction of air flow through the dry passage with the dry passage. A water tank containing water for humidifying air is provided in the connecting passage. A restricting means is provided at least for the first opening to regulate the flow rate of air that flows through the first opening.

    • In an incubator according to the present invention, a single incubator can be used in any state of four types of devices and thus obviates the need for having many types of devices. A canopy is lowered and raised.
