A process is disclosed for joining sections made of elastomer materials, in particular profiled sealing strips, which in turn are used in particular for producing the corners of sealing frames. Both section ends (4) to be joined together are mounted each in a holding device (1) that have each two divided profiled clamps (2, 3). When both holding devices (2) are closed, the front faces of the precisely cut section ends (4) located at the same height are joined together by vulcanisation of a vulcanisable adhesive system, at the same time as pressure is applied by bringing together both closed holding devices (1). Another variant of this process is also disclosed.
