PURPOSE: A power transmission device of a bicycle is provided to improve the running speed of a bicycle besides the conventional multi-stage transmission driving device. CONSTITUTION: A power transmission device of a bicycle comprises a pedal axle(10) to which pedals of a bicycle are fixed, a sprocket(20) to which a chain is coupled and the torque of the pedal axle is selectively transmitted through a one-way bearing, a pedal axle gear(30) which is rotated along with the pedal axle and selectively moved along the pedal axle, a sprocket gear(40) which is provided in the center of the sprocket, and a connection gear(50) comprising a first connection gear which is engaged with the pedal axle gear when the pedal axle gear is moved toward the sprocket and a second connection gear which is engaged with the sprocket gear.
