The present invention selectively gas-permeable transition metal structure, selective gas permeation apparatus, the gas detection sensor, the selective gas permeable catalyst comprising the same having the characteristics that form the pores when a nitrogen compound gas contact, and pores are disappeared when the oxygen compound gas contacting and selective gas permeable support, to a preparation method thereof, and a gas detection method using the same. The present invention does not need to use additives, such as a transition metal oxide and a template or a surfactant in the production of mesoporous transition metal nitride through a nitriding process, the manufacturing process is simplified. The invention has a feature capable of flowing into and blocking of the mesoporous transition in the reaction gas through a phase transition between the metal nitride and an oxide. Further, the present invention may at the same time as a strong reducing gases, especially ammonia, sensors to detect the flow of oxygen from a gas such as hydrogen can serve as a gate preventing the flow of oxygen.
