PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal air cell system superior in discharge performance and long durability and having a low cost and capable of securing safety.
SOLUTION: The metal air cell system includes a metal air cell having at least an air electrode, a negative electrode, and an electrolyte interposed between the air electrode and the negative electrode; and an oxygen generating part having an oxygen generating agent generating oxygen by reacting with a component other than oxygen in the air and supplying generated oxygen to the air electrode.
