PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance reliability of a transmission, easiness, function and simplicity of speed change for practical commercialization of a traction roller transmission.
SOLUTION: A continuously variable transmission 100 having a plurality of rotatable power adjusters 122 for transmitting power from a driving member 120 to a driven member 170 and a power adjuster 122 are frictionally inserted between the driving member, the driven member, and a rotatable support member for fractional contact at three points with the driving member, the driven member, and the support member 154. A transmission ratio is determined by a pivot support object 134 which varies the axis around which each power adjuster rotates.
