PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify positioning operation and to prevent a table plate from falling inadvertently in the height adjusting mechanism of a table plate. SOLUTION: The mechanism has a stopper 10 for positioning and preventing the table plate 4 from falling and a knob bolt 11 for suppressing the play of vertically moving supports 3b with respect to a fixed support 3a on the side of the fixed support 3a of a support part 3. A plurality of engaging recess parts 12 with which the stopper 10 is to be engaged are formed in a line at prescribed intervals on the side of the vertically moving supports 3b.
