    • System improving the efficiency of internal combustion engines used in land vehicles. The invention relates to push rods (2) each drilled with a hole and which are actuated with a rectilinear alternating motion due to the action of a camshaft (3) and of return springs (6). The assembly is operated in a frame (1) or a cylinder head. Said perforated push rods leave free or obstruct the passage for the gases between the combustion chamber and the atmosphere for the intake and exhaust. When the displacement due to the camshaft is finished, the springs press the push rods against the sealing seats (7) by the action of pins (8) (secured to the frame) on the slopes (9) of the grooves machined on the sides of the push rods. The thightness of the combustion chamber is possible since a plane machined on the length of the push rod slides and bears against the seats at the end of the stroke.
