    • There is described an electronic device (1, 1-2) for point-to-multipoint transmission of a digital signal over a radio communication network. The electronic device comprises a transmitter-receiver (3) configured to receive a radio-frequency input digital signal (S_DRF_I) and generate therefrom a baseband digital signal (S_DBB_I) and comprises a digital signal processor (9). The digital signal processor comprises a receiving module (9-1), an input buffer (12), an audio decoder module (13) and an output buffer (15). The receiving module is configured to receive the baseband digital signal and perform a duplication (1 1) of the baseband digital signal into a duplicated baseband input digital signal (S_DD2), is configured to store the received baseband digital signal (S_DD1) and the duplicated baseband input digital signal (S_DD2) in the input buffer (12) and in the output buffer (15), respectively, is configured to read the digital signal from the input buffer, perform a decompression (13) of the first baseband input data signal (S_DBB_I), process the digital signal read from the input buffer and generate therefrom a digital driving signal (S_PL_SPKR_D), and is configured to read the digital signal from the output buffer and generate therefrom a duplicated baseband output digital signal (S1_DBB_0). The transmitter-receiver is further configured to receive the duplicated baseband output digital signal and generate therefrom a radio-frequency output digital signal (S_DRF_0). The electronic device further comprises an audio distribution device and/or an image and/or data display device, comprises an input/output interface (7) configured to receive the digital driving signal and generate therefrom a second driving signal (S_PL_SPKR_A) in order to drive the audio distribution and/or image and/or data display device and comprises a microcontroller (4) configured to implement a reservation protocol for unidirectional audio and/or data communication. The transmitter-receiver (3) is configured to receive the radio-frequency input digital signal (S_DRF_I) on the basis of Bluetooth® specifications and transmit the radio- frequency output digital signal (S_DRF_0) on the basis of Bluetooth® specifications, and the microcontroller (4) is configured to realize a unidirectional asynchronous packet data link. There is further described a system (200, 250, 280, 300, 350, 400) for point-to- multipoint radio transmission comprising a plurality of electronic devices for point-to- multipoint transmission of a digital signal over a radio communication network.

    • A system for adapting a transmission rate of an audio signal transmitted over a TDM communications link from a source to a destination includes a first variable-depth storage component and a first processor at the source, and a second variable-length storage component and a second processor at the destination. The first storage component stores the audio signal, and the first processor selectively withdraws the signal from the first storage component. The first processor encapsulates the signal into packets and transmits the packets via the TDM link. The second processor receives the packets, removes the audio signal, and deposits the signal into the second variable-depth storage component. The first processor selectively withdraws the audio signal as a function of the amount of data in the first storage component, and the second processor selectively withdraws the audio signal as a function of an amount of data in the second storage component.
