摘要： The invention relates to a novel Zn-air rechargeable battery with charcoal/graphite cathode and dicarboxyl telechelic polyethylene glycol containing additive, e.g. PEG or POLOXAMER. The synthesized dicarboxyl telechelic PEGs were successfully applied to suppress the formation of dendritic and mossy deposits on the surface of the zinc electrode. The weight of the electrode did not change after the long-term test.

摘要： In some implementations, a metal air battery includes an anode and an cathode opposite to the anode. The cathode may be formed as a textured carbon-based scaffold and include an opening into the metal air battery. The metal air battery may include a nano-fibrous membrane (NFM) containing a liquid electrolyte and a functionalized carbon structure may be disposed between the cathode and the NFM. The functionalized carbon structure may allow moisture and oxygen from ambient air to permeate through the NFM and diffuse throughout the textured scaffold of the cathode. A moisture barrier layer may be laminated over the cathode and positioned, by a user, in one of two states. When in a first state, the moisture barrier layer may seal the opening. When in a second state, the moisture barrier layer may allow the moisture and the oxygen to enter the textured scaffold.

摘要： A B S T R A C T FLAME-RETARDANT COMPOSITE MATERIAL The present invention relates to a process for manufacturing a composite material, comprising the steps of a) spraying an aqueous solution of a tetrakis(hydroxyorgano) phosphonium (THP) salt, an organic nitrogen compound and optionally an aliphatic amine having at least one alkyl group having at least 12 carbon atoms onto a i) porous substrate; b) drying the substrate; c) curing the substrate with ammonia; d) oxidizing the substrate; e) treating the substrate with a metalbisulfite salt; and f) washing the substrate with excessive water, wherein, said step a) is implemented at a speed of 3.0 ml/sec or less of the aqeuous solution, preferably 2.0 ml/sec or less of the aqeuous solution and also to a composite material produced by the process. The present invention also relates to a composite material comprising i) a porous substrate and ii) a reaction product of a THP salt, an organic nitrogen compound, and optionally an aliphatic amine having at least one alkyl group having at least 12 carbon atoms, wherein the ii) reaction product is impregnated into the pores of the i) porous substrate; to an electrochemical device comprising the composite material as a separator, and to the use of the composite material as a separator in an electrochemical device, in particular a Li-ion secondary battery, a lead-acid battery, or a supercapacitor for improving safety performance.
