摘要： A composite sheet and a method for printing differently-transformed images using a composite sheet. In the method, a composite sheet is provided that has first and second portions. The first portion defining a primary receiver having a first set of receiver spectral characteristics. A secondary receiver is selected. The secondary receiver defines a second set of receiver spectral characteristics. A set of colorants is selected. The colorants define a first set of colorant spectral characteristics for printing the first receiver and a second set of colorant spectral characteristics for printing the second receiver. The first sets of spectral characteristics, taken together, have one or more differences from the second sets of spectral characteristics. Digitized first and second images are provided. The digitized first image is normalized relative to the first sets of spectral characteristics to provide a normalized-digitized first image. The digitized second image is normalized relative to the second sets of spectral characteristics to provide a normalized-digitized second image. After the normalizing steps, the colorants are deposited on the portions of the composite sheet. The depositing on the first portion is modulated by the normalized-digitized first image to create a first colorant image. The depositing on the second portion is modulated by the normalized-digitized second image to create a second colorant image.

摘要： Illustrations can be produced on supports of various materials, such as metal, wood, glass, plastics, textiles, stone, leather, cork and rubber, using an image-transfer process in which a fixed dry toner image is made on an intermediate document by an electrostatic thermocopying process. The intermediate document consists of a paper preferably coated with stearates to which the dry toner image adheres loosely and from which it can be transferred to and fixed on the support by heat treatment either directly or with the aid of adhesive films or hot-melt adhesive films. In order to produce a coloured image, the dry toner image on the intermediate document is first transferred to an impress film which in turn is transferred to the support by heat treatment at temperatures between 60 and 160 °C.

The printable sheet of the present invention employs an expanded polytetrafluoroethylene sheet comprising a series of polymeric nodes interconnected by fibrils. Images can be applied to this sheet using a variety of means, including pen and ink, electrostatic printing, screen printing, offset printing, etc. These images have proven to be very durable and capable of substantial wear, water exposure, and general abuse. 摘要： Toner images formed on transparent or translucent sheets may be transferred to artwork by covering them with adhesive in order to stick the toner image to the artwork more strongly than it adheres to the transparent or translucent sheet and then peeling the transparent or translucent sheet away. In accordance with the invention the toner image is adhered by selective transfer of a low tack pressure sensitive adhesive from a layer of such adhesive on a release surface. Transfer is effected by bringing the toner image into intimate contact with the layer of adhesive and then lifting away the transparent or translucent sheet which can thereafter be used in the manner of a dry transfer sheet to transfer the toner image to the desired artwork. The toner image may be covered prior to the application of adhesive by the selective application of a further layer, e.g. from a blocking foil of known type.
