    • A compact integrated system for photographic processing has processing trays (11, 12, 13), sink (10), water filter and faucet (16), chemical storage (26-28), and drying screens (29) in a single multi-purpose unit. The processing trays are vertically stacked and rolled in horizontal corrugations (18) traversing the length of the sink. A print under development is directly transferred vertically between chemical processing trays across a print sponge (160) with a print gripper (30). Each print is uniformly processed in a chemical processing tray by rolling the tray, ensuring uniform distribution of the processing chemical without manually agitating the print. The water rinse step of the print development process is accomplished in an oscillating wash bath (14) wherein the water is continuously circulated over and between the prints being rinsed. Each tray may be angled downward for emptying into a basin (15). The hinged cover (21, 22) provides a mounting for a water filter/faucet, a table/safe light, and a work surface when closed.

    • A light-tight and collapsible chamber (120, 300) for use in demonstrating the optical performance of a piece of retroreflective sheeting placed within the chamber (120, 300) is provided. The chamber (120, 300) comprises a generally opaque polygonal back panel (130, 320) having a plurality of edges; a plurality of generally opaque side panels (140, 170) wherein adjacent side panels (140, 170) are attached to one another to form a light-tight connection and each of the plurality of opaque side panels (140, 170) are attached along and positioned essentially perpendicular to one of the plurality of edges of the back panel (130, 320) to form a light-tight connection; and an open area (150, 330) essentially parallel to and distanced from the back panel (130, 320) and forming an observation window permitting an observer to view the piece of retroreflective sheeting positioned within the chamber (120, 300). In one embodiment, the chamber (120, 300) further comprises a leaflet (310) capable of attaching to the piece of retroreflective sheeting attached to the back panel (130, 320). In another embodiment, the chamber (120, 300) can be collapsed in various ways.

    • A container is provided for the storing of light sensitive exposed storage layer radiation screens. The container includes walls defining an interior volume, an aperture in one of the walls sized to allow entry of a storage layer radiation screen, a screen receiving surface adjacent to the aperture which is shaped to direct a dropped screen into and through the aperture into the interior volume, an interior dark section of the container within which light exterior to the container cannot reach, and an interior guiding section that is shaped to direct a screen dropped through the aperture to come to rest in the interior dark section. A method is provided for storing light sensitive exposed storage layer radiation screens. The method includes removing an exposed storage layer radiation screen contained within a screen envelope from a patient's mouth, and releasing the screen from the screen envelope such that the screen drops out of the screen envelope and through an aperture of a container for storing the screen which prevents light exterior to the container from reaching the screen. By following this method, the latent image on the exposed radiation screens is retained while minimizing the risk of transfer of infectious agents which may be present on the screen envelope and user's gloves.
