    • A window or door assembly comprising a glazing unit housed within a frame, the frame comprising a sash accommodating the glazing unit, and a frame surrounding the sash, the frame comprising a plurality of frame elements surrounding the sash. The assembly further comprises a sash profile mounted to an outwardly-facing surface of the sash, and a frame profile mounted to an outwardly-facing surface of the frame element. The sash profile is releasably mounted to the sash by means of a rotational clip, so as to overlap an edge of the glazing unit. A gap is provided between the sash profile and outwardly-facing surfaces of the glazing unit and sash, which gap extends from an edge of the sash profile which overlaps the glazing unit to the rotational clip. A gasket is provided in the gap, the gasket being interposed between the sash profile and the glazing unit so as to secure the glazing unit within the sash and to form a seal between the sash profile and the glazing unit, and the sash profile overlaps a portion of an outwardly-facing surface of the frame profile.

    • An elongate glazing gasket (13) for use with a glass panel (11) is disclosed. The gasket includes: an elongate panel edge receiving member (40) having internal walls defining a laterally opening channel (14) extending along its length for receiving an edge of the panel (11) and having a part-cylindrical outer peripheral surface (49); a wedge portion (60); and a flexible flap portion (50). The flap portion connects the wedge portion (60) to the receiving member (40). The flap portion (50) allows the wedge portion (60) to move between an open position for receiving the edge of the panel (11) and a closed position for securing the edge of the panel (11). The wedge portion (60) and the channel (14) are co-operable so as to lock the wedge portion (60) to the channel (14) when the wedge is forced between the panel (11) and the channel (14). The gasket (13) is extruded from one or more polymers.

    • A method of forming a joint (32) between two plastics extrusions (10) is disclosed which comprises mitring the extrusions (10) so that they form the desired angle to one another, removing part of the rear face of each extrusion (10), placing the mitred extrusions in a mould and injecting a resin material whereby to bond the extrusions (10) to one another and produce the desired joint (32) configuration. Because the front surface (24) of the joint in accordance with the invention is entirely made up from the orginal extrusion, there are no problems with raised sight-lines, colour differentials, surface differences, or colour matching. Moreover, the method of the invention allows a corner to be produced which has a clean right angled rather than radiused inner portion.
