Wesentlich für die Erfindung ist, dass die Abmessungen der Zuschneide- und Verlegehilfe teilweise charakteristischen Abmessungen der Bodendielen bzw. des Verlegemusters entsprechen. Durch diese Abmessungen wird die Periodizität des Verlegemusters ausgenutzt, um die Bodendielen im Bereich der Verlegebereichs-Begrenzung auf die nötigen Längen zu kürzen bzw. abzulängen. Unter einer Verlegebereichs- Begrenzung ist ein Verlegebereichs- Rand zu verstehen, beispielsweise eine Wand oder eine Abschlussleiste. Damit lassen sich Konturen einer Verlegebereichs- Begrenzung, insbesondere eines Verlegebereichs- Randes mit einer deutlichen Zeitersparnis auf Bodendielen übertragen und gleichzeitig der Zuschnitt der Bodendielen präziser und einfacher gestalten.

摘要： The field of disclosure of this document is adhesive spreading as done in preparation for laying tiles and there is a need for tools that assist both skilled and non-skilled persons to perform the steps involved in preparing for the laying of tiles of all sizes. Disclosed are two elements, the first being an adhesive spreader tool and an adaptor for attachment to a handle, wherein the adaptor is configured for use with the adhesive spreader tool for spreading adhesive over a floor surface from a standing position. The adhesive spreader tool disclosed comprises, two substantially rectangular planar sheets each sheet is folded along the respective at least one slot to form a folded portion of the sheet. Once the two sheets are joined they form a continuous array of castellations along the respective first sides of the joined sheets and end walls formed by the folded portions, the sheets suitable for spreading adhesive over the floor the width of a tile to be laid. An adaptor is disclosed for attachment to a handle for use with the adhesive spreader tool. The adaptor is configured to engage the adhesive spreader tool and also has first and second longitudinal support members adapted to be longitudinally slidable within a first channel or one in each of two channels in the adaptor so that the support members will support the adhesive spreader which is set as wide as the tiles to be laid and which is used to spread tile adhesive in preparation for laying the tiles.

摘要： A tile spacer comprises a base (20) for engaging a bottom surface of tiles and a stem (30) projecting upwardly from the base. The stem comprises two oppositely facing surfaces and two projections (36, 38) extending in opposite directions from the surfaces so that the stem and the projections define a cross-shaped profile with corners for contacting corners of four tiles. At least one of the surfaces of the stem includes a recessed, i.e. set-back, area (44). The projections extend from the recessed areas. One or both projections can be removed from the stem by breaking the projection(s) so that the tile spacer can be used with four, three or two tiles depending on whether one or both projections is removed. The recessed areas confine any residual material of the projection(s) that is not removed when the projection(s) is broken at least substantially within the recessed area(s) and minimises or avoids altogether interference with laying tiles.
