摘要： A backflow prevention assembly includes a body forming two buckets, wherein flow passes through the body from an inlet to an outlet along an axis and consecutively through each of the buckets. A single zone test cover encloses a first of the buckets to form a single zone chamber. A dual zone test cover encloses a second of the buckets with a dual zone cartridge assembly therein. The dual zone test cover has two test cocks. The dual zone cartridge assembly includes a frame having a valve seat, wherein the frame includes a lumen providing fluid communication from a dual zone chamber upstream of the valve seat to a first of the two test cocks of the dual zone test cover, and wherein the second of the two test cocks of the dual zone test cover is in fluid communication with the dual zone chamber downstream of the valve seat.

摘要： A non-return valve includes a cylindrical valve seat insert that defines a fluid passageway and a valve seat terminating the passageway. A valve closure includes a valve flap that is pivotal about a pivot region with respect to the valve seat between a closed condition in which a periphery of the valve flap operatively engages the valve seat to close the fluid passageway and an open condition in which fluid is permitted to flow through the passageway. A biasing mechanism is interposed between the valve flap and an internal surface of the insert to bias the valve flap into the closed condition, the biasing mechanism being configured and arranged with respect to the valve flap such that a level of bias is adjusted to facilitate movement of the valve flap into the open condition.

The valve (2) is operated by an actuator (7), preferably in the form of a voice-coil linear motor, which is controlled by sensors in the sewer pipe. Due to a continuous flow (A) through the sewer pipe, the device will remain clean and thus functional.

In the event of positive pressure in the downstream waste pipe system the one-way water valve closes.

摘要： A water backflow preventing system is provided for a given area having a sewer line for receiving rain and other water where the sewer line is incapable of carrying, without backup, a given fow rate of water. The sewer line is provided at a given point therealong with at least one overflow opening into which opening water which cannot be handled by the sewer line will rise and overflow. Water storage tank means are buried in the ground below the sewer line and into which the overflow water from said opening will drain and be temporarily stored. The storage tank means have a volume to store many thousands of gallons of water which cannnot otherwise flow in the sewer line. A pump is placed in the bottom of the storage tank means. Various float switches are placed in different parts of the system for controlling the pump. They are arranged to prevent the operation of the pump when water backup valve conditions exist in the sewer line and to automatically render the pump means operative when backflow conditions disapear from the sewer line so that the storage tank means can be substantially emptied and accommodate overflow conditions which can be caused by a subsequent rainstorm.
