摘要： The invention relates to a container for mailing items in a sorting device for controlled distribution of a flat mailing item into non-moveable sorting containers. The inventive container comprises a rigidly mounted wall section and a wall section that is moveably mounted at the front in the direction of conveyance, inclined in the opposite direction to the direction of conveyance and provided with a sliding component. The sliding component can vibrate fully or partially, whereby the front parts of the mailing items are given momentum when they slide out as a result of the vibration of the sliding component that is caused by the opening of the moveable wall, thereby preventing torque that is created by gravity and causes short items to topple over. The duration of the vibration is at least long enough for the appropriate short item to leave the sliding component before the next vibration movement is directed at the mail items.

The plurality of scrolls may support a stack of cups and dispense a lowermost cup of the stack of cups through the cup dispensing aperture. The plurality of scrolls of each of the cup dispensing mechanisms may include a first pair of adjacent scrolls and a second pair of adjacent scrolls. During the dispensing of the lowermost cup of the stack of cups, the first pair of adjacent scrolls may rotate in a first rotational direction and the second pair of adjacent scrolls may rotate in a second rotational direction that is opposite the first rotational direction.

摘要： A beverage vending system that is configured to vend a beverage in a paper cup and present the cup with the beverage therein to a consumer. The paper cup may be devoid of any plastic liner so that it can be recycled along with normal paper waste. The beverage vending system may include a beverage machine having scrolls that support the cups in a stack and, upon receipt of instructions to vend a beverage, cause the scrolls to rotate to dispense the cups. The cups may be pre-filled with a beverage ingredient. Distal surfaces of support ledges of the scrolls may contact an under rim portion of a lowermost cup in the stack, and such contact may help to ensure that the cups are consistently dispensed and vended without failure and without damage to the cup.
