摘要： A media binder has an inner assembly and a case assembly, The inner assembly includes inside boards pre-attached to a binding mechanism. Adhesive is placed on outward surfaces of the inside boards. The case assembly includes a cover sheet with at least one marginal edge attached to surface boards and at least one loose edge. To customize cover, a printed cover is inserted in-between the cover sheet and the surface board through an opening formed by the loose edge. The case assembly is then laminated. The laminated case assembly is combined with the inner assembly using the adhesive on the inside boards. A one-piece media binder has cover sheets wrapping around surface boards forming pockets. The surface boards are partially attached to paste downs. To customize cover, printed covers are inserted into the pockets, and the paste downs are then attached to the surface boards to seal loose edges.

摘要： A method of producing a multiple-section publication document in a high-volume industrial process is disclosed. The method comprises generating a customised section (248) of the multiple-section publication document, the customised section including user-required content type information and geographical information. Pre-printed pages are picked according to user defined content types. These customised sections are bound and the user's geographical information is used to apply a delivery address. Each section has an identifier on its spine, the individual identifiers of the bound publication forming a composite identifier for a given publication. There are two versions of each identifier which may be corroborated to ensure the correct sections are in a given publication. One version depends on how for across the spine the mark is, the other how high it is. For example choice 50 of 100 would be half way across and half way up the spine.

摘要： The system is designed to provide a transport system with specified sheet-like material at a request time. The system includes insert towers that provide the requested material at the appropriate time. Each insert tower contains multiple insert hoppers aligned vertically within the tower. Due to space constraints, the vertical arrangement of the hoppers enables the system to choose from significantly more different inserts that would be available from systems without vertical insert towers. The insert hoppers are loaded vertically within the insert hoppers which creates a horizontal queue of sheet-like material. Upon a request from a system computer, specified inserts are pulled and the insert tower delivers the insert to a transport system.
