    • A pair of co-operating refining elements (10, 11) intended for a disc refiner for finely disintegrating and refining lump-shaped lignocellulosic material in a refiner gap (5, 6) between two opposed refining discs (1, 2). The outer portion (6) of the refiner gap is angular in relation to the radial plane, and the refining disc (2) located outside the outer portion (6) of the refiner gap is rotary. The refining elements (10, 11) are intented to be placed directly in front of each other on opposed refining discs in this outer portion (6) of the refiner gap. The refining element (10) located inside is provided with at least one wing (14) freely projecting in the direction to the inner portion (5) of the refiner gap. The refining element (11) located outside has an inlet portion (15) located directly in front of the wing (14) which is formed with a concavely curved surface (16). The wing is provided to throw the material against the curved surface (16) for changing the direction of movement of the material into the outer angular portion (6) of the refiner gap.

    • Refining element intended for a refiner with flat or conical opposed refining surfaces, which are rotary relative to each other for working and refining lignocellulosic material during its passage through a refiner gap (15, 35) between the opposed refining surfaces from an inlet portion with smaller diameter to an outlet portion with greater diameter. The refining element (19, 39) is formed with a refining surface with bars (20) and intermediate grooves (21) which extend over the entire refining element. The bars (20) in the inlet portion of the refining element (19) form an angle of 50-85 DEG with the radius or generatrix of the refining surface. The angle decreases along the surface of the refining element (19, 39) so that the bars (20) in the outlet portion form an angle between -25 DEG and +25 DEG with the radius or generatrix. The bars (20) in the inlet portion are located at a greater mutual distance than in the outlet portion.

    • A pair of co-operating refining elements intended for use in a disc refiner for the disintegration and refining of lignocellulosic material in a refining gap between two opposed refining discs rotating relative to each other. The refining elements are intended to be positioned directly in front of each other on opposed refining discs. Both refining elements are formed with bars and grooves arranged in a number of restricted zones located radially outside each other, where each refining element comprises at least three zones (A, B, C). The bars in opposed inner zones (A) on the refining elements are angled 10-30 DEG in different direction in relation to the radius of the refining elements, so that the bars on opposed refining elements cross each other. The bars in an intermidate zone (B) on both refining elements form an angle smaller than 15 DEG , preferably smaller than 10 DEG , with the radius. The bars in an opposed outer zone (C9) on the refining elements form an angle with the radius in the interval 10-30 DEG in the same direction.
