摘要： Disclosed are entrained polymer compositions configured to absorb ammonia. Also disclosed is a method of retaining an ammonia/ammonium chloride buffer solution. The method includes the step of placing the ammonia/ammonium chloride buffer solution in a vessel, which contains a desiccant entrained polymer material not in direct contact with the ammonia/ ammonium chloride buffer solution. The desiccant entrained polymer material is made of a base polymer, a desiccant, and a channeling agent. The invented method maintains the properties of the buffer solution by regulating the amount of ammonia and/or moisture absorption by the desiccant entrained polymer.

摘要： The invention generally relates to a process for purifying a hydrogen gas for use in a fuel cell. The process involves taking a hydrogen feed stream from a high-pressure tank and passing it through a purifier comprising an adsorbent to provide a purified hydrogen stream which is sent to a fuel cell. A particular adsorbent which can be used is a metal-organic framework composition. The adsorbent can be housed in a device such as a canister or cartridge having an inlet and outlet port.

摘要： Systems and methods for an atmospheric carbon dioxide removal system that includes a plurality of carbon capture containers, a plurality of fans, an air diverter, and a velocity stack. Each of the carbon capture containers has an outwardly facing side and an inwardly facing side with the inwardly facing side facing an enclosed space. The fans are disposed adjacent to the carbon capture containers. The fans are arranged to move air through the carbon capture containers in a first direction from the outwardly facing side into the enclosed space. The air diverter is disposed within the enclosed space and receives the air flowing in the first direction and redirects the air to flow in a second direction that is angled upwardly from the first direction. The velocity stack is disposed on top of the enclosed space and is configured to accelerate the flow of the air in the second direction.

摘要： A method for capturing CO2 from a gas stream using a metal organic framework (MOF) based physisorbent CO2 concentrator is provided. In the method, MOF material is pretreated, a gas stream is then introduced into the CO2 concentrator which comprises the pretreated MOF material. CO2 from the gas stream is captured with the CO2 concentrator to generate a CO2-free stream, which is discharged the from the CO2 concentrator into the atmosphere. Introduction of the gas stream into the CO2 concentrator is stopped when the pretreated MOF material becomes saturated with CO2. The CO2 concentrator with the saturated MOF material is then regenerated by introducing hot air, hot nitrogen, vacuum, or a combination thereof into the CO2 concentrator thereby generating a CO2-rich stream. The CO2-rich stream is diverted for purification and the regenerated CO2 concentrator is recycled for future capture of CO2.

摘要： A portable oxygen concentrator includes a compressor and a controller. The compressor includes a motor, at least one chamber, and at least one piston operably coupled to the motor and movable within the at least one chamber. In some embodiments, the controller is configured to: determine actual motor speeds for commutations steps of the motor during a first rotational cycle; determine an average motor speed during the first rotational cycle; determine a voltage pattern based at least on a comparison of the average motor speed during the first rotational cycle and the actual motor speeds for the commutation steps of the motor during the first rotational cycle; and cause the voltage pattern to be applied to the motor during a second rotational cycle to reduce differences between applied motor torque and variable torque load imparted by the at least one piston.

摘要： Methods and apparatus may implement controlled generation of oxygen enriched air in an oxygen concentrator while implementing control that reduces pneumatic imbalance between the concentrator's canisters, such as dynamic pressure imbalance or other pneumatic characteristic. One or more controllers may regulate operation of a compressor that feeds a pressurised air stream to the concentrator's canisters. This may regulate speed of the compressor to a speed set point for generating the pressurised stream. The regulating may involve generating a compressor control signal having a characteristic parameter such as a power parameter. The controller(s) may operate valve(s) in a cyclic pattern so as to produce oxygen enriched air in an accumulator. A cycle of the cyclic pattern may include a plurality of phases, where each of the plurality of phases has a duration. The controller(s) may then generate a dynamic adjustment to the duration(s) based on an evaluation of the characteristic parameter.
