The filter element comprises a filter media pack comprising a plurality of filter media layers stacked on top of each other to form the filter media pack. 摘要： A core construction (20) for use in a filter element (10) includes a tubular member having a wall with opposite first and second ends. The first end is adaptable for engagement with structure, such as a frame (28) utilized with a filter element. The second end is also engageable with external structure, such as a handle (22). Preferably, a filter element (10) is constructed by rolling a media construction (14) around the core construction. The media construction (14) includes a corrugated sheet secured to a flat sheet rolled around the core construction into a coiled construction (24). The coiled construction (24) has inlet flutes and outlet flutes. Methods for using and assembling filter elements preferably use core constructions as described herein.

摘要： A conical filter device inserts into a duct having flow passing from upstream to downstream. The filter device includes fluted filter media (62) having flutes formed therein and a housing (54). The filter forms a seal (59) between the outer edge of the filter at the downstream side and the housing. The upstream face of the filter is conical-shaped in a first embodiment and frusto-conical in a second embodiment with the housing roughly corresponding to the shape of the filter. The filter elements (62) are formed by winding layers of filter media to form a circular cross-section. The elements are moved axially as they are wound or placed on a shaping form while the sealant is still piable to shape the element.

摘要： The present invention relates to a filter for liquid filtration, the construction of the filter ensure increased filtration capacity by using up the filtration medium rather that clogging up. The filter comprises layers of filtration medium (2) and optionally also layers of spacer medium (1). Liquid to be filtered can through bypass spaces circumvent a number of layers of filtration and/or spacer medium and is by at least one sealing (3) directed through the filtering area of the filtration medium. End caps (5) with perforations (6) allow the liquid to be distributed within the bypass space between the edges of the layers of filtration medium and spacer medium. Rolled filters with a central core (4) to drain off the filtered liquid can be constructed in large dimensions. Also disclosed is a method of making the filter. The filters are suitable for many purposes, especially for filtering liquid with oil.

摘要： A liquid filter apparatus, for connection to inlet and outlet liquid lines, including a mounting holder (2) and a removable filter within the holder. The filter unit (20) includes bottom and top end caps (22, 26) with a core tube (46) and a concentric outer tube (30) extending between the end caps (22, 26). A filter element (40) between the core tube (46) and the outer tube stands on radial ribs (23) extending upward from the bottom end cap (22) and is spaced from the top end cap by similar radial ribs (23) extending downward from the top end cap (26), these ribs creating radial flow channels above and below the filter element (40). The filter element (40) is a wound spiral of filter material (43) and separator (41) forming a plurality of axial flow channels (42, 44). Some of these axial flow channels (42, 44) are open at the top to receive liquid from the top radial flow channel and closed at the bottom, and some of the axial flow channels (42, 44) are closed at the top and open at the bottom to discharge liquid into the bottom radial flow channel. Filter action is by radial flow, through the filter material (43) from the open-top channels (42) to the open-bottom channels (44). The holder (2) includes upper and lower mounting plates (4, 8) and tie rods (10) between them to releasably hold the unit together and to permit removal and replacement of the filter. Means (29) are provided to vent air from the system.
