摘要： A surgical instrument includes a shaft assembly, an end effector, a console, a conductor assembly, and voltage sensors. The shaft assembly has conductive components. The conductor assembly is configured to transfer power from the console to the end effector and includes a ground return path. Each of the conductive components is configured to couple with a corresponding one of the voltage sensors and with the ground return path. The voltage sensors are operable to measure a voltage potential difference of the coupled conductive component relative to a ground potential defined by the ground return path. The console is configured to determine whether the measured voltage potential difference exceeds a maximum threshold value. When the measured voltage potential difference exceeds the maximum threshold value, the console is further configured to initiate a corrective action.

摘要： Various embodiments provide an electrosurgical resector tool comprising: an energy conveying structure for carrying radiofrequency (RF) electromagnetic (EM) energy and microwave EM energy, the energy conveying structure comprising a coaxial transmission line having an inner conductor separated from an outer conductor by a dielectric material; and an instrument tip mounted at a distal end of the energy conveying structure. The instrument tip comprises a first jaw and a second jaw. The second jaw is movable relative to the first jaw between a closed position in which the first jaw and the second jaw lie alongside each other, and an open position in which the second jaw is spaced from the first jaw by a gap for receiving biological tissue. The first jaw comprises a first pair of electrodes that are electrically isolated from one another. The second jaw comprises a second pair of electrodes that are electrically isolated from one another. The first pair of electrodes is coupled to the energy conveying structure, such that the first pair of electrodes is operable as active and return electrodes for delivering RF EM energy carried by the energy conveying structure. The second pair of electrodes is coupled to the energy conveying structure, such that the second pair of electrodes is operable as active and return electrodes for delivering RF EM energy carried by the energy conveying structure. The first and second pairs of electrodes are operable as a microwave field emitting structure for emitting microwave EM energy carried by the energy conveying structure.

摘要： Apparatus and systems of liquid metal-based tunable coaxial antenna for microwave ablation are described. Tunable antennas are capable of maintaining the optimal impedance matching in different organs of treatment as well as actively improving tissue heating during the course of the ablation. Efficient energy delivery to various tumor tissue and tissue conditions is critical in creating larger tumor margins and reducing the risk for local tumor progression. Efficient energy delivery can also help decrease the need for aggressive cooling mechanism from reflected power and antenna shaft heating. The tuning can be achieved by small physical motion of liquid metal plug actuated by pressure regulator.

摘要： An electrosurgical system comprising an end effector and a control circuit is disclosed. The end effector comprises a first jaw and a second jaw. 摘要： An electrosurgical instrument comprising an end effector is disclosed. The end effector comprises a first jaw and a second jaw. The first jaw comprises a first electrode. The end effector is movable from an open configuration to a closed configuration to grasp tissue. The second jaw comprises a second electrode configured to deliver a first monopolar energy to the tissue, a third electrode, and a conductive circuit selectively transitionable between a connected configuration with the third electrode and a disconnected configuration with the third electrode. In the connected configuration, the third electrode is configured to cooperate with the first electrode to deliver bipolar energy to the tissue. The conductive circuit defines a return path for the bipolar energy. In the disconnected configuration, the first electrode is configured to deliver a second monopolar energy to the tissue.
