摘要： The present solution provides embodiments of a multi-part fastener and methods of use thereof to more efficiently and securely laces, such as for footwear and/or other wearable items. The multi-part fastener may be in the form of a two-piece clip used to secure laces of footwear. Each end of the clip may have one or more eyelets for traversal of and securing of a lace of the footwear. The lace may be attached to footwear, such as via eyelets of the footwear, Each end of the lace may traverse a row of eyelets of the footwear. Upon traversing a row of eyelets, each end may extend from an eyelet in an untied manner, such as an eyelet near or at the end of the row of eyelets. One end of the lace may be tied through the eyelets of a first part of the clip and the other end of the lace may be tied through the eyelets of a second part of the clip. To secure the end of the lace of the footwear to each other, the male end of the clip may be inserted into and secured by the female end of the clip. This provides tension between the ends of the laces and across the tongue of the footwear. To unfasten the ends of laces and remove the tension, the male end of the clip is released from the female end of the clip. In this manner, the fastening and unfastening of footwear laces is performed by engaging and disengaging the clip instead of repeatedly tying and untying the laces of the footwear. This may provide more consistent and repeatable tension and comfort to the wearer of the footwear while also making the processing of putting on and taking off footwear more convenient.
