    • A cutting mechanism for a receipt-printing machine, which has paper dispensed from a paper supply roll, the cutting mechanism having a "v"-shaped, guillotine blade (40). The blade is driven via a blade holder (42) against a stationary blade (72). There is a blade guide (74) which has side mountings (78) for guiding at least one end tab (43) of the guillotine blade into perpendicular contact with the paper web. The guillotine blade is driven through the blade guide by a drive cam (50), which rotatively engages the blade holder. The cam is driven by a motor-driven gear train that has a timing gear (28) for timing the occurrence of web cutting. The guillotine blade retracts from the blade guide under the influence of spring biasing.

    • Articulated lever press consisting of a press stand (1.1) and a frame-shaped press slide (2.1), whereby on the latter is mounted a hydraulic cylinder drive (2.12) which is linked with the multi-articulations support (2.7) guided in the centre of the press in the slide (2.1). On the support are movably arranged at least two connecting rods (2.8) which each engage alternately one of the two articulated levers (2.10 or 2.11), which are arranged in a height-adjustable manner on the press structure and on the slide (2.1). The main aim is to ensure that the working region of the slide (2.1) remains adjustable irrespective of its travel, without modifying the guiding of the slide. According to the invention, the frame (1.1) is a twin-stand frame which is partly closed even on the front and face side. The working region of the slide (2.1) in the stand (1.1) is supported and adjusted by synchronously-driven shafts (2.2), whic co-operate with the stand (1.1) via guide beams (2.4) fitted with shaft bearings (2.3). These guide beams (2.4) have, on their lower surface, bearings (2.3.1) enabling the suspension of the pair of articulated levers (2.10/2.11) which have to be connected to the slides (2.1 and 2.9).
