摘要： A tool bit providing a combined drill bit and reamer is disclosed herein. The tool bit comprises an axial bit shaft including a bore end and a shank end. At least one helical land portion is provided on the bit shaft. The at least one helical land portion includes a cutting edge and a trailing edge. At least one reamer blade is provided on the helical land portion at the bore end of the bit shaft. The at least one reamer blade includes a substantially axial cutting edge. A tip arrangement is also included on the bore end of the bit shaft. The tip arrangement includes a center blade positioned between peripheral cutting blades.

摘要： A spade drill bit (20) including an elongated shaft (21) formed for rotation about a longitudinal axis (22) thereof, and, at one end of said shaft (21), a flattened blade portion (24) with generally planar and parallel opposing faces (26, 26') defining opposing side edges (27, 27'), and an end cutting edge (28) therebetween. The cutting edge (28) includes two opposing side spurs (30, 30') each having spur tip portions (31, 31') positioned at the lateral extremities of the cutting edge (28), and terminates at the corresponding side edges (27, 27'). A triangular-shaped center tip (32), axially aligned with the longitudinal axis (22), has a distal end (33) extending beyond the side spurs (30, 30'), and is defined by downward edge portions (34, 34') extending away from the distal end (33). The cutting edge (28) further includes respective converging edge portions (36, 36') connecting each side spur (30, 30') to the center tip (32). Each converging edge portion (36, 36') intersects a respective downward edge portion (34, 34') at a corresponding curved nadir portion (37, 37') positioned closer to the center tip (32) than the respective spur portion (30, 30').

摘要： A spade bit includes a shaft defining an axis about which the spade bit is configured to be rotated. The space bit also includes a blade attached to the shaft, a first paddle portion and a second paddle portion, and includes a tip portion attached to the blade and aligned with the axis. The addle portions includes (i) a first leading end portion positioned on a first side of the axis and configured to define a cutting edge portion, and (ii) a lateral extension portion configured to define a first sloping surface. The paddle portions further define a relief space positioned adjacent to both the sloping portions and the leading end portions.
