摘要： A security clutch (10) for a jewelry post (12) with a circumferential groove (14) includes a housing (20) with a post receiving aperture (22) extending therethrough and two access ports (52, 64, 54, 66) through a side wall (34, 38). A pair of interlocking C-shaped lock members (56, 58) each include an inner free end that carries a lug anchor (68, 70) and an outer free end that serves as a trigger (60, 62). The lug anchors (68, 70) are spring-biased by a spring (40) toward one another to thereby urge the triggers (60, 62) outward through their respective access ports. The inner free ends are also urged toward one another by the forces of the spring (40) to slidably reside in the post receiving aperture (22) of the housing (20) into locking engagement with the circumferential groove (14) of the jewelry post (12) residing in the post receiving aperture (22). The spring (40) is serpentine in configuration. The serpentine configuration of the spring (40) in communication with the inner wall of the housing (20) enables the spring (40) to be precisely centered in the housing (20) thereby providing a precision and smooth operating security clutch (10) for a jewelry post (14).

The security clutch (100) includes a housing (110) with a top wall (112), a bottom wall (134) and a side wall (136). A trigger (126) is disposed within the housing (110) and includes a button portion (128) that protrudes from the housing (110) and through the access port (120) for manipulation by the user. A U-shaped post engaging member (138) is disposed within the housing (110) and is in communication with and lies in the same plane as the trigger (126). A spring-biasing member (142) is connected to the U-shaped post engaging member (138) to position the U-shaped post engaging member (138) into partial blocking of the post receiving aperture (118) and into engagement with the groove (108) of a grooved post (102) received therein. The button portion (128) is depressed by the user, against the forces of the spring-biasing member (142) to clear the U-shaped post engaging member (138) from the post receiving aperture (118) and from the groove (108) of the grooved post (102) to permit free movement of a jewelry post (102) within the post receiving aperture (118).

摘要： The invention relates to a lockable snap fastener in which the male component is secured, after engaging in a housing of the female component, by the locking profile of a slide. The slide can be slid in the housing of the female component transversely to the direction of insertion of the male component and is held in a withdrawn position by a spring portion provided at its inner end. The locking profile of the slide is then placed onto the male component in its active position. However, the slide has also a release profile which enters in the area of the engaged male component and allows disengagement while the slide is being operated. To obtain an easily operable snap fastener, it is proposed to position two slides adjacent each other in the housing of the female component and to spring-load said slides to oppose each other in the direction of withdrawal. The locking profile and the release profile are realized in the joint area between the two slides partially in one slide and partially in the other slide. Consequently, snap-on engagement of the two snap fastener components is possible without operating the two slides.

摘要： In snap fastener closures, the convex part should be as easy as possible to couple to a socket part (20) but they should be difficult to uncouple. The socket part (20) consists of a slide (30) movable in the longitudinal direction in a housing (23) and forked inside the housing into two branches. Both branches consist of sections (31, 32) with different profiles in relation to the closure head (12) of the convex part. One section (31) locks and the other section (32) releases the closure head (12). In order to easily couple both parts, the locking section (31) is arranged at the free ends of both slide branches, so that they are elastically spread apart. When the closure head (12) of the convex part is inserted between both slide branches, it is elastically and automatically coupled therebetween. Said section (31) acts then as a coupling section. One slide branch has a bent extension (36) that acts as a spring on the slide (30) and keeps its coupling section (31) aligned with a hole through which the closure head (12) is inserted into the housing (23).
